Honestly the sea kingdom is lucky that nieces aren't considered heirs because otherwise the amount of daughters that corals 32 sons are going to have would cause a succession crisis like no other.

In The Lost Heir, it is mentioned that nieces could NOT directly get the throne, as a reason why Moray would want it, but then in Winter Turning, Icicle, Glacier's niece, is mentioned to be directly in line for the throne, as well as saying that cousins could not challenge the queen, as well as sister-in-laws being unable. But if what you said about the cousins thing being true...oh boy

I want Auklet to be queen (when she grows up). Tsunami is not ready to lead her tribe. Auklet was raised to be a queen, and does not have the murderous tendencies like Anemone.

Crack AU Idea: A communist revolution occurs in the Sea Kingdom and they defeat Coral. Tsunami, Anemone, Auklet, and all their brothers end up supporting this. :) Slightly Less Cracky AU: Coral ends up being replaced by a democracy. I love the idea of Queen Tsunami. However, a democracy resembling the SilkWing assembly or the enclave of Possibility would be cool as dragons want to move away from the easily-abused-by-evil-rulers monarchy to something with more checks and balances.
Wow! This is one 'deep dive' into SeaWing life and I almost completly agree with all of this. On the outside Queen Coral might look not so bad but on the inside this video exposes alot. Anyway, talking queen talk Tsunami has already found her place in the DoD (Dragonest of Desteny) so I don't think she wants to be queen. We know Anemone doesn't want to be queen due to her relationship with tamirn. So our most likly canadite will be Anklet, but time will tell. Note: So is this the reason I have weird vibes about the Sea Kingdom??? PS: Sorry if I spelled stuff wrong (Like names)
If Coral does something VERY awful Tsunami might step in even if she's not interested. However if the oppression is subtle I think Auklet might become the next queen.
I honestly think Auklet will be the next Queen. I have trouble believing Tsunami would want to be in charge of a whole kingdom. I can see her wanting to be a General more than anything. I just imagine she doesn't like to stay in one place for the rest of her life. I think Anemone would be terrified of become queen after all the expectations put on her from her mother. I feel like Auklet being a new dragonet born into the world right at the end of the war will probably be less traumatized than her sisters would be more willing to become the next queen.
