One thing you should do going into next season is possibly having goals that each player can hit for the games you play, and if any player reaches that goal you can give them boosts (like increase in peak start/end by 2 years, increase in potential by 5, increase any attribute by 5, etc.). So, for example, If you score 30 with a player, they get a boost. That way you’re not only controlling the team but changing the trajectory of careers. I think that it would make the series more fun for you and the fans
You could even do something more impactful like having a boost called “turn back the clock” or something like that which puts any player that gets the boost into their best version in the past 2-3 seasons (so as early as 2020-21 by the start of the season), so if you kept Ben, that could help him out
