- Hey you guys! In today's video, I wanted to review and demo myself using Doves New Amplified Textures collection. This collection is $7 at Target. It is for those of us with naturally wavy, curly and coily textures. I didn't get everything in the line, but I chose 4 products to do a wash to style. I just feel like it’s so weird to use a dove product in my hair since I’m used to it using it for my skin.
*I DON'T THINK DOVE IS FOR NATURAL HAIR* All these big companies trying to get our coins!🧐
Head and shoulders suave and others I stick to shea moisture products
Your hair always looks shiny and bouncy. I can see the difference in your definition from using these products. I dont feel it gives enough moisture.
i love the recovery mask, i havent used anything else from the line but the mask is one of the only deep conditioners that actually have my hair moisturized when i rinse it out. its bc of how thick it is i think bc my hair loves stuff like that.
I've actually used the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in and absolutely loved them. My hair was very moisturized. I went out with just the leave-in and no curl defining products and my curls looked amazing.
Ouuu I’ve been waiting on the video! I’ll def wanna try this out once I take my braids out later this month.

I knew when you used the word initially It wasn’t going to be your favorite twist out!! Lol
The definition and shine was there when you unraveled the twist, but when you separated them piece by piece that showed how lightweight the products were! I’m so glad I watched this because I was in Walmart the other day and looked to buy them but I’m so glad I didn’t! Thanks so much for this review.

I agree with you about the butter cream. I’ve used it twice on my hair and it just doesn’t have the definition I look for but it feels good and makes my hair soft. I don’t care for the butter cream very much because it doesn’t pair with my Wetline gel or my EcoStyle gel so that was a bummer. I did also purchase the mask but haven’t used it yet. So far I’ve heard good things about it so I think I’ll like it more compared to the butter cream. Thanks for the review! ❤️❤️
This is defintely one of those lines where I was curious about it but secretly side eyed it. 🤣🤣🤣. As usual your hair looks incredible. The masqued looked extremely moisturizing.

I never thought to use Dove on my hair simply because its always been a body product to me!! I need to use heavier products and creams on my hair too so maybe as a twist out if I combine it with a thicker leave in conditioner or curl cream...
I tried the whole line. The smell is like you said, ahhhmazing, but other than that it's a no for me too. I styled with the butter creme and their gel. Day one was great but day 2 was flake city! I am keeping that mask though!!!

Tbh I like UA-cam videos that don't have intros it just gets right to the point love it , do you notice breakage as your hair grows out? Or do your ends retain length

Yeah your twist outs normally come out way more defined. But it’s still a cute fluffy look. Glad you were able to get your money back.

What's your thoughts on mane not tail products?
I bought the entire line except for the gel. I liked everything except for the shaping cream it left my hair white and it is a definite no no no for me. I will say when I blow dryer mt hair my hair felt extra dry and it felt weird. I was just not happy. When I used the shampoo, conditioner and so forth it felt great but the end result was horrible

Your water and aloe mixture, do you use the liquid ready to serve aloe that you can get from Walmart?
I ordered a liquid version off amazon. Natur sense.

Sorry 2 hear U did not like the result l& product (s ). I agree w/U should have use a gel that has a good hold. I purchase the products from Walmart about 3 months ago have not tried them will probably use them this week or next week.😀

I’ve watched you fa yrs & I’ve neva seen ya hair look so dry, frizzy & just bad compared to the dozens of otha twist-outs you’ve done. & I’m NOT throwin shade, I 100% blame the products. We all know you know how to do ya hair & I think Dove should be ashamed. I’ve neva heard you talk abt returning products but that’s how you know they bad. They definitely won’t get my dollas. Go see a dermatologist! That's the best thing you can do. Make sure it doesn't spread to your scalp area.
That leave in conditioner has so much fragrance that I can’t use it! It’s overwhelming 😷
