Definitely one of the best, but hard to say who is the best, for example Yuki Kajiura has created so many masterpieces for decades. Her band Fiction Junction is really something, especially when they sing in Latin and in canon. But it's a different style of music, I don't know if you like it. (if the name doesn't ring bells, she wrote some SAO Songs, like Swordland search on YT Sword Art Online OST Orchestra Live )

Hiroyuki Sawano is born to make gundam and aot music and Yoko Kanno to make cowboy bebop and Shiro Sagisu to make bleach and the incredible Yutaka Yamada tokyo ghoul and vinland saga ost are incredible. And don't forget Kevin Penkin from made in abyss and Yuki Hayashi for my hero academia and a lot of drama ost .
No matter how and when I listen to Gong4N, the moment the violins get their exposure at 2:07 I get tears in my eyes. I don't know why but the pitch and composition is so nice it sets something free within the first 2 seconds
It really does!... this is one of my favorite parts as well. I get chills everytime lol.... my most favorite though if at the 2:21, 2:22 mark.... I always thought it was French horns but not so sure now but the way they come in and almost add that.... idk the right word, lol. But yes, when the 2:07 mark hits, it's a beautiful thing.

I was wondering why a lot of the Attack on Titan Music i was hearing when i caught up last year, was reminding me of Seven Deadly sins OST, both were conducted by the legendary SAWANO!
Also to add onto this he also did some work on Shadows House, that I immediately recognized when listening to some of the prominent woodwind instruments he so gracefully uses throughout his works! 😅

Nunca me ha gustado la música clásica o los OSTs pero la música de Sawano Hiroyuki me atrapó desde el primer momento. Ya llevo un par de años escuchándolo y espero que más gente pueda conocer su arte. La música que hace es tan única, no son simples OSTs, la mezcla entre música clásica y contemporánea con un sonido más alternativo y electrónico hace que sean canciones muy épicas y placenteras de escuchar. Todas las composiciones de Sawano transmiten emociones diferentes pero igual de fuertes. Nunca he conocido a otros compositores que se arriesguen a tanto musicalmente como él. Definitivamente crea puras obras maestras.
