Recommendations on reusing the crank bolt? To my understanding they were torture to yield, specifically on the lml? Though I’ve hear they’re ok to reuse?
Yes, the XDP Crankshaft Dowel Pin Kit XD331 can be installed on a truck with a PPE, ATI, or a Super Damper but the counterweight must be removed before installing the drill collar. It's also not currently compatible with Fluidamprs made in 2020 or later that have six bolt-holes on the face of the damper

Makes me mad that gm cheaped out on this critical area, they could have spent a few more dollars to key the crankshaft

Why not make the tool longer to cut a longer pin slot and cover both pins?? Eliminating both pins for one is better.

How hard is it to pull off balancer after this kit is installed?
L Cazier, the pin is not permanent. The balancer can still be easily removed.
Definitely have to use a puller
Why 1 3/4 inch drilled when the pin isn't that long?

You pin it by machining the crankshaft to use a keyway instead .
Do you have tool for the dowel pin on cam shaft?
We do not have a camshaft pin tool available at this time but please check back often as we are always adding parts and tools to our inventory

this kit is only for the 2001-2016 GM 6.6L LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, and LML

Im.sure thats better but the best is to tear down the engine and have a real keyway milled and installed! You do cheap shit you end up with junk!
