Joe I'm a long time listener way back it's I'm so old skool. I must say I appreciate you have never given up and you continue to do it. You have helped me through alot in the years rather you know it or not. I enjoy content more when you do solo streams but the only other co host I have ever enjoyed has been Jake demarco, that's out of Drew, Bailey, Tommy, Dave, or even Jesse. Keep rocking joe thanks for everything over the years
At this point, I'd argue it's not even on life support, since the nostalgia acts bombed in the ratings too. The only way I'd watch is if "Dr. Death" Steve Williams rose from the dead & started wrestling like he did in his prime. Yet, AJPW is like 20+ to 30+ years ago now. Too much time has passed by for me to even care about wrestling in general.
Its bad news, but also this was their first show on Netflix, i would expect it to be rough. I am a "wait and see" type person, so we'll see how it goes....
Shows how few give a darn about wrestling in general nowadays, nostalgia included. I haven't watched WWE since April 2000, so I'm one of those 168 mil to not give a darn. Too many decades have passed for casuals to care. Never underestimate the apathy of a casual TV viewer. The only wrestling I do now is collect & watch classic AJPW. That's literally it in 2025.
My issue with this current hatred of Hogan is that it's such a small issue really compared to the worst stuff that has happened in the business..... To me guys Hogan, Nash, Cena, Orton and others playing politics to hold others back costing them money is a much shittier thing to do
Joe, when you were live today on UA-cam the video and the audio won't syncing together and there aren't any software updates on my end and I just reset all my stuff that are connected to the internet and nothing else has changed at all.
I have been enjoying Joe Cronin Show content since February 2017. I wish I could repay him monetarily for what he has provided people who have been listening as long as I have, if not longer.
It’s insane for you to say that this is a “disaster”. That 4.9 million was the live numbers. Wrestling is not a live sporting event, it’s a TV show. People don’t do appointment television. Kids don’t care to watch it at 8pm live. They’ll watch it the next day or the day after. Do you not count the views you get on your channel in the days/weeks/months after you aired your video? Or do you only consider the views you get in the first hour to be fans of yours. You have to do just a little bit of common sense thinking guys. It’s not that hard. I’d be more interested in what the total numbers are by the end of the week. Every show and movie ever made is available on demand - getting people to watch something live is hard.
I'm one of the 6 million that used to watch pro wrestling during the Monday Night Wars era. I keep an eye on the industry, hoping to be convinced that the product is worth watching. Usually, if I check out a show, I'm disappointed. The USA market is what I'm interested in. Why would I care about anywhere else? Seeing 2.6 million is a disappointment as I checked and discovered FOX's debut Smackdown episode drew 3.2 million viewers back in the day. Glad to be an NFL fan. 20 million viewers on Netflix looked good.
Your original numbers you claimed they needed to get were unrealistic in the first place. You intentionally made that prediction so that you could bash them and say that did bad.

Wrestling’s dead brother, WWE and AEW are so similarly unwatchable

whatever true casual interest in wrestling that hasn’t died with Vince’s WWE pre HHH, AEW made sure it did. the magic’s gone and our stars are fading.
Meanwhile AEW is struggling to even get half a million on Dynamite.
Its bad news, but also this was their first show on Netflix, i would expect it to be rough. I am a "wait and see" type person, so we'll see how it goes....
Exactly what expected. There’s about three million wrestling fans and that’s basically the WWE’s ceiling.
It was WWE Raw Reunion the show you were thinking about because it did a 3.1 when the show was averaging 1.6 in the 2019/2020 era.
The product is boring. There is zero creativity or edge.

Do you think possibly cause some majority of the audience doesn’t have Netflix?

Buncha window dressing with legends. It's so hollow, their actual weekly content fn sucks.
I said this was a bad move. I'm not following them and a lot won't.
i heard they had 5 mil views"??
That 5 mil is the worldwide viewership. At the same time, WWE in 2014 had over 5 mil viewership in the USA alone on average, IICR

It beat squid game as top 10 show

You Think 12 Million people checking out a LIVE show advertised on the main screen to 150,000,000 People is crazy ?
