DW used to make these decades ago and I used them alot in the apartment. You aren't going to get sound from these, they are meant to be silent. But what they will do is enable you to work on your sticking and even foot hihat work under conditions that may warrant you use them. Complaining or elderly neighbors will love you for them!

Its a bit sad when we have to spend good money on drum kits ,only to spend more money on muting them ,it makes you wander why we even bother...

You can try putting a piece of tape on the snare wires just to keep it from bouncing too much, the tape will also help reduce snare buzz when playing with a band.

Try tuning the heads and adjusting snare wire tension. Won't need muffles as much

It's true. Tune the drum correctly and place the snare with balanced tension is the best way.

It feels like you play on a practice pad instead of acoustic cymbals. They don't ring at all. You should invest in Zildjian L80 or some it's analog for practicing quietly and melodically.

I needed a cheap and quiet solution. Zildjian L80 is too expensive.

"There’s no sound i don't like this" Welp if your muting your kit I'm going to say its not about you at all, your doing it as a compromise to allow you to play and not destroy the home life of everyone around you. The fact There’s no sound on the hat now matches the Exact Same Tone coming from all five drum heads. Add on the Evans Bass mute now it sounds like the snare.. Own the entire set it literally says thats what it does, Donner just made a cheap kit with practice pads under the drum skin so you can quiet down the kit and it comes with low tone cymbals
