Transformers Universe (2008) Vector Prime with Safeguard - GotBot True Review NUMBER 406

- This time I look at the Transformers Universe voyager class Vector Prime, along with his mini-con named Safeguard, who was released in 2008. I was fortunate enough to recently receive this guy for my birthday.Specifically, I wanted this use of the mold. Unlike earlier versions, this copy has added paint applications instead of the better known blue or orange translucent plastic that appeared on previous incarnations of the toy. The black, blue and silver coloring herein gives the figure a regal look while hearkening back to his styling as shown in the Covenant of Primus book. The conversion method is simplistic but the resulting space craft is nice looking, and noted for resembling the Axalon from Beast Wars. The articulation also contains many solid and well-functioning ratchet joints. However, as impressive as he is, he is not perfect, mostly because of a couple of very minor issues that is really only exist because of the mold showing its age. All-in-all, he is as excellent today as he was a decade ago. Check him out and see what you think for yourself!

Humilityverse History 101 read by Victor Caroli: during the 13 Primes climatic battle with Unicron their brother, Vector Prime, vanished. Alive, dead, none of them could say. To this day A3's biggest concern is Vector returning someday...
AMAZING REVIEW GOTBOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the original Transformers Cybertron verison of Vector Prime, and I have imagined that a full sized version of Power of the Primes Vector Prime will be the TF Universe version. :) Once again thank you for an outstanding review of a hard to find Transformers toy. :D
I consider myself very lucky to have this version. I liked avoiding the clear sword. Not that it matters, I just ordered it personally. Love those ratchet joints too.
I got the cybertron version cheap and complete I like the colors on your version better but I couldn't pass it up I love this figure
Yeah, whatever the color, he's excellent and really hefty, for a Prime.
Good review of what really is a decent toy. Much of the Cybertron line was decent. I actually like these colors a little beter than the first release. Thanks for the upload.
I like these better too. That's why I specifically wanted this one. Only thing missing is bicep swivel. Otherwise, everything about him is pretty fantastic. It was a good time to be a collector.

My local collector shop is selling this out of the box for the rough converted equivalent of 13 USD. Vector is one of my favorite TF characters period, this toy is already a decade old, and from what I read is rather rare. Definitely something I need to pick up.
Only thing I’m not too sure it has is the accessories. But if its accessory-less, I can always give him the PotP Metalhawk Prime Master so that his weapon is...himself.
First, Vector welding himself rocks. For that price, even if Safeguard and his sword is missing, still worth it. If nothing else, maybe you'll luck into a sword being in his nosecone.
Well, just got back with Vector purchased. No key and sword, but it has the missile and Safeguard. And as you had stated in the video, having a representation of Vector is still pretty cool, both as the character from Cybertron and his later inclusion as one of the Thirteen Primes. I'm a relatively, so my collection is still small and contains stuff mostly from Power of the Primes. Very happy to add Vector to my collection as so far the oldest TF toy I have, and it's neat to see the difference between the toy engineering of the late 2000's VS the late 2010's.
Wow, that was quick lol. I didn't know if you'd luck into the sword stored in the nose section or not but more importantly, you got Safeguard, so it isn't like Vector is defenseless anyway. As for the key, who cares? All the key ever did was activate lights and sounds, this version of Vector doesn't even have that. The key is actually completely useless in this case. I have it but, like, why lol? I've really enjoyed POTP but if Vector is your first real foray into the past then congrats and he must feel like a very different type of voyager class figure from the more modern ones you know.

During the final season the Humility crew find him, Stasis Locked/frozen in alt mode, in another dimension. He becomes Nova Prime's (Kickback) mentor, preparing him for the final battle with Unicron...

if you're using siege soundbkaster as logos prime you can take his weapons and put them on the backpack pegs and splay them out like wings... thoughts?

why do you hate the UT so much/? I think cybertron is good even if u hate the others, and cybertron barely is realted to the others.
Because they are sooooo poorly written and soooo poorly dubbed. Awful characters, awful stories and everything is solved with some nonsense super mega junk that, for some reason, they need to announce all the time. Just blast them in the face when they are wasting time announxing crap lol. I just...I don't remotely like Japanese story telling, no Godzilla, none of the imported shows, don't even like the anime style of art. Literally nothing about any of it appeals even slightly to me and, honestly, it legit baffles me that anyone else likes it either. I know folks do, of course, but I don't get what there is to like lol.

@@SoundblasterYT I don't see the coolness factor you see I guess and the plot gets lost for me. I literally could not tell you what the story is or any of the events...after watching all 3 series 3 times. I'm done. There eon't be a forth. If I was gonna like anything about it, I would by now lol.
