- For the first time ever I'm tinting something that's not one of my cars, this time its my home, @BlackoutTinting came and made sure my place has full privacy and keeps some of that very hot summer sun out!

That film makes it look so much better looking towards the outside, especially with clouds, because it's acting like a polarizing lens on a camera. Gives great contrast between the blue sky and clouds.
Looks great, and with less glare it actually looks clearer.
I have big windows in the back of my house and got them tinted to help the house stay cooler and it also helps the paint on the walls from fading due to the sun. It definitely helps with privacy during the day, but at night it doesn't do anything. You can see right in like normal.

We bought a camper that was residential tinted and we wake up some days and open the door to a sun filled sky thinking it's still dark out 😂

Really interested to see what it looks like from outside at night with the lights on inside. Definitely something I advocate is tinting home windows not only for privacy but heating and cooling.

The tint keeps your house much cooler. I moved to SC and the 1st month down here I had all the windows in our new house tinted and it gave us more privacy and keeps the house cooler. Mike you should tint your bedroom so it stays cooler and your AC doesn't have to work so hard. The couple grand the tint job cost will pay for itself in a summer or ttwo.

Yeah that works for bigger windows. That or some people get the auto shades that that stops the heat& people with drones looking in. It's also a cooling mechanism.
Also shocked the HOA allows you to do this and have the outside gas grill. In VA it's illegal to have a gas grill in a balcony

I got all my windows tinted in the UK using Xpel Blend 17, quite dark to be honest but very private. It's hit and miss trying to get it right with how much light is let in against privacy from nosey neighbours.

Yes I did my sons room on my own he has big top to bottom windows that let in a lot of heat so I got 5% mirror finish tint which is so cool you can see out so clear just like if you had sunglasses on but you can't see in at all because of the mirror exterior finish it's like a one way privacy glass now lol
Are also gonna install a curtain for really dark privacy in the day
You should also black out all the chrome in the house

Question Mike - as a UA-camr / business owner and given that you have made a video about the tint - are you able to deduct costs associated with an upgrade like this??? Having a personal channel and a vehicle channel sounds like a potentially amazing way to make a LOT of your normal life expenses into some kind of business deduction. Maybe I need to start a channel?!?!

Personally, I would have gone with 5% on all of the windows. I did two layers of 5% on my bedroom windows in an apartment I used to live in years ago. I have window blinds on all of the windows in my current crib.

A drone can’t even look inside from 30 feet away. if you want tint against the heat, you need to do it on the outside. once the heat is through the glass, a tint makes no difference in warming up the room

Most people are NPCs. They're not going to notice. I've done it before in a place where the bedroom came with stupid translucent blinds. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

some drones can zoom in like crazy like the mavic 3 pro. but if you arent zooming in it cant really look through windows unless you are like 10 feet away

Hey M. AutoVlog, the crew over here based on various apartment leases believes it will be your responsibility to have that TINT removed when you eventually move out.
