A little thing I never noticed until last night was Joel's watch breaks when the soldier shoots at him. That means the time is frozen, the date is frozen, and now the watch not only is a symbol of his daughter, but it will constantly remind him the day and time his daughter's fate was sealed.
@ never wouldn’t been in that situation based off TLOU1. Never woulda gone out of his way to save a stranger or given up his name and info so easily. Not him or his brother. It’s paper thin bad writing.
@@mattkramer8426It’s really not. Jackson is clearly a community that takes people in. And not only that, but Joel has been living comfortably for YEARS. He’s an old man who fought for so long, and now he’s in a safe community with all his creature comforts. He’s bound to get used to it. He’s clearly careful and still a fighter when it comes to infected, but he’s become soft. With a family in Tommy, Maria, and Ellie as well as a community in Jackson. I don’t think it’s far- fetched for him and Tommy to save some random people and try to bring them back to Jackson. Especially Tommy, who even in the first game had similar ideals. Joel letting his guard down isn’t bad writing, just character development.
@ it’s bad writing. Also in times of stress you revert to what you really are and know. And 20+ years of survival instincts with 4 years of a community. The game was bad. The story was bad. Almost everything was bad. You’re an apologist.
This game and just everything with it is why I love story games so much it’s so emotional intense and fun that I think it’s one of my favorite adventure story games to be released
I remember way back to the PS4 remaster, I got the hotel, got stuck there for like 3 days of attempts. I rage quit, and did not revisit the game until the announcement of the tv show. I then restarted the game from the top and completed it. Bought the PS5 remake followed by TLOU Part Two. Love this series so much now, I wish I got to experience the multiplayer
@@thv4448 I had to look up a video guide and that shit was easy as hell ngl, except for when the first time I did it and the bloater spawned right in front of the key card door. The second time I did it with the video strat it didn't so it was free
Personally, it was the lack of difficulty related trophies, as well as the lack of multiplayer, that made me 100% the PS4 Remastered version instead of going for the Part 1 PS5 remake. In my mind, it makes the PS4 version a more prestigious/impressive platinum. Kudos for completing the game on Grounded difficulty though, I know from experience that it is difficult (it's more the lack of supplies that get you rather than combat difficulty).
You need more subs! This video is absolutely amazing especially that you did it on grounded mode! I hope you get 1 million subscribers one day you deserve it!🎉
Just letting everyone know that guys who’s mask broke in the beginning that he didn’t kill. I play grounded mode and I killed that guy because I didn’t want him to suffer and it brought me good luck during my grounded mode run.
I actually managed to make it through that last difficult spot in salt lake only killing the runners with the bow on grounded. I was pretty proud of myself for that one
Fun facts: 1. The picture of the trophy for beating the game is Joel’s broken watch which breaks when he and Sarah roll down the hill before his daughters death 2. The cordyceps infection is a real fungus that only affects any because it didn’t mutate enough to affect us 3. There is a bar that looks like the bar from the start of uncharted 3 4. There is a Jak and Daxter board game you can find in the store when Henry tells Sam he can’t have a toy
The cordyceps not being able to infect is not a matter of not mutating enough. It’s a matter of unlikely mutations, the mutations needed for them to kill us are astronomically unlikely.
@@Mauivern20 that is true, but in the real world many more rare mutations would have to occur for it to infect us how it does in the game. It would somehow have to adapt to infect the human nervous system. Even if it does or can why would it have the ability to control our minds and instincts to the point where we bite and kill other people. At most it’ll adapt to kill us not make us zombie like. Thats in the very worst scenario.
@@Mauivern20 yes but we humans have much more complex brains than ants. Not only are our brains much bigger but completely different in structure. Our neurons are also more densely packed than theirs. The way cordyceps infects any in real life is by taking over pheromonal functions in the blood brain barrier. We humans don’t even have the same capacity of an ants blood brain barrier. Our behavior patterns are determined by our frontal cortex (the thinking part of the brain ) and the brain stem, cerebellum and basal ganglia( the animal/ instinctual part of the brain). So the cordyceps would have to take control of a completely different part of the brain that doesn’t even work in the same way as an ant. It wouldn’t infect us like zombies unless it could somehow have the mutations to takeover the brain like so.
in the hotel part i didn't even know that there was a bloater in my first playthrough 😂😂 not only that but also in many parts, I just naturally took those paths that one might call "skips" without even knowing that those were skips lol
I played on grounded up to the scene where I have to take down runners and 1 clicker in the downtown scene 😭 and then switched to moderate because it was so hard!
I think the revolver does significantly more damage in grounded to balance out the difficulty and one shots enemies wherever you hit them. That may be why it didn’t take much to kill the bloater in the gym
I was inspired by your vid to do the same (except for the no upgrades part) It was sooo fun and awesome. I cannot say it was too hard, but the most fun I’ve ever had with the game for sure:
I managed to get the platinum trophy for The Last of Us on the PlayStation 3, and I will never ever do that again. I didn't bother trying to get the Platinum on the remakes or on the Last of Us Part 2. Once was damn sure painful enough for me. It was easily one of the hardest platinum trophies I ever attained.
Fun fact if you have the time and patience you can farm the random infected in the gym during the first bloater boss for ammo for your shotgun and pistol. So if your running out try this
As someone who has done the remastered grounded and grounded plus on the ps4 I found the remake on grounded significantly easier. Might be because I memorized strats and paths but congrats on the plat bro
Man this is so cool, I recently played lou 1 for the first time ever and I decided to go survivor difficulty first playthrough. Oh boy I died 262 times in all. But I beat the game 😂 Seeing that trophy popping was such a great experience. But still i would have died less if I conserved ammo, because I spent most of the game meleeing infected and trying to stealth. I swear some sections was just filled with infected and I was fighting for my life. The bricks and bottles were a life saver. I mostly kept dying in specific sections because I figured out the way to get thru it and was trying to get the execution right, the clickers were the major problem for me. Even weeks after finishing the game they still haunt me.
in left behind on the ps4 remaster, if u die at any point in the last fight u have to start the whole thing over.... the last fight took me like 3 hours on grounded 😭😭
Yep, just me by myself, and when there’s collectibles I’m usually following a video guide by powerpyx or ps5trophies. Everything else I try to do on my own
Im stuck with sam in the sewers part. Im playing on survivor and i have no ammo. I tried so many times to do it stealth but its impossible. I have nothing, no molotovs, no ammo and no bricks and im 1 hit aswell. What should i do?
I think the reason they didn’t include finishing grounded in the Plat is because the remaster is quite a bit harder than the original - in the PS3/4 version it’s a lot easier to sneak past a lot of enemies or just run through sections. In the PS5 version fart and you’ll have 10 clickers on you. Still though a Plat should be earned it felt hollow to pop it without Grounded, so like you I did it anyway, but it wasn’t fun lol
