  • Saving money offers so many benefits ranging from a peace of mind to having FU money should you need it. The question is do you need to save in 2024 and why should you? With the economy as crazy as it is, employment uncertainty, and everything else life throws at us, why not YOLO it right? Well, I'd like you to talk to future you and your future loved ones and let them know it will be okay. It will be okay because you practicing financial responsibility for them.     I will highly advise people to open up a high interest online banking savings account. That way you're not losing money with inflation.

      I hear that! Now do you shop around for the highest rates or do you stick with one and leave it? I keep track of the rates at different banks, but I haven’t moved from the original I started with in 2020.

      @@TiaFaith I just staying with sofi bank for now. They give me a 4.60% saving interest rate return

      @@TiaFaithI used to keep majority in Sofi but since I have brokerage acct with fidelity I just keep my emergency fund in the SPAXX which is the Money Market Account which gives about 5% more or less. I have it automated so every time I get paid a portion gets transfer to the MM

    Savings is soooo important, I definitely learned the hard way the importance and I think setting up small goals to create a larger sum is such a good idea, sometimes we think that something is out of reach when really its just a matter of planning. Especially with sinking funds.
