I know the names of so many of his team members from fellow writers to producers and casting directors because he names them in podcasts and interviews and tells stories about them. It's so lovely to see such a hardworking and humble person get so far. Parks and Recreation was perfect! The Good Place was legendary! Brooklyn Nine Nine is witty and humorous! I'm so excited to see his future projects, I know they will be of such great standard.

There is no better show during a pandemic than parks and rec. Amy Pohler is the embodiment of optimism and is is exactly what is needed during these times. This show needs to come back in some form
i wish people talked about april and leslies relationship and how they grew because of each other. like the fact that april matured so much but kept her essence, the same for leslie, like a lot of that was a direct result of being each other’s character foils

the office was an incredible show but what makes parks so much better was the characters and the relationships/friendships that drove the show which was something the office lacked with the exception of a few relationships like jim and pam. :o)
@@brennafoley6835 I totally agree with that. I started watching The Office first and thought it was one of the best shows I've ever seen, but when I saw Parks and Recreation I knew that was actually better. I feel like in Parks and Recreation you get to know the characters better which makes you care about them. But, The Office was a good show I just didn't feel the connection with the characters. Plus, they're just two different types of shows.
I totally disagree. He started so many questions just to stop in the middle and reword it. He does that in his stand up to. I find him very funny but when you are running a panel like this your job is to get the questions out so the panelists can answer. He takes too long to ask things.
Abby O’Malley I might download the 2019 paleyfest interview with the parks and rec Cast after the reunion on Thursday! It might be good. Like the other ones by the way.
I always loved English. One phrase, made me use it even when I'm not speaking it - takes one to know one. The greatest way to return a compliment, for me. All those people in the audience are the same, just off stage (system living + forced jobs, 99.9%). ;)
I watch and love this show to help remind me that it is okay to disagree and not be so divisive. We can find common ground and comedy together and work toward a better future.
hahaaha thanks for this, I was going to check out who Aubrey mentioned :D They were like so much bla bla & hilarious! =D Why the fuck we can't get the whole uncut show after they made the final cut? :O It seems VERY WASTEFUL which is very bad for my OCD & also, Mother Nature has no waste.
Same. Their scenes were absolute gold. I wish Aubrey wasn't so self-effacing in these big panels because she helped create April's role and did so much great, hilarious stuff on the show, including improv, that I'd love for her to talk about, but she was clearly uncomfortable tooting her own horn. Schur even had to shout out her awesome improv scene with the intern.
Exam season makes me just need Mike Schur’s writing. Two years ago I started the office while doing my GCSEs, now I’m doing my a levels and I’m completely obsessed with parks and rec
Great panel. Love this show so much. On top of all the side characters the main cast mentioned, i think Kathryn Hahn (who played Jennifer Barkley) was also one of my favorites. She had the intensity and drive of Lesley, the big picture-chess brains of Ben, the candor of April, and brevity and directness of Ron. One of the best.
Parks and recreation & the office were great. I found 30 Rock so overrated. PR and the office were way better than 30 Rock. It's sad P & R didn't win awards for best cast and more of the cast get awards. I think Amy won a Golden Globe but not even an Emmy for it. These award shows can be such nonsense.
WOW, Nick is Steve in Deadwood...I've binged the show at least 4 times, but, there's so many great characters that the Steve character, whom I liked didn't make that big an impression, he was sort of sad...But, I'm blown away that I just had the epiphany that it's NICK!!!!!!!!!!!!...As soon as Patton mentioned it; it hit me like a ton of bricks! lol...I ain't erasing all that shit...I just looked it up and he's the Tom Mason character...:)...He does a great job at that too!... They both have dark hair and are great actors...LOL...Derp!
@ -1:05:06 Leslie is constantly struggling with her inner demon, a benevolent but manipulative, bullying autocrat. We love her because she & her angels fight & defeat the demon. She's covering for her drunkenness there lol

I’ve noticed that in many interviews too. No wonder he is so successful, you can tell he really cares about his work and his coworkers.
