Gas oven's knob control is normally marked 1 2 3... to 6, while fan ovens are normally labeled in degrees (º C) or Fahrenheit (º F) 100 150 200 ...300 (Max). Thank you for watching.

Pls when you say place in preheated oven for 30 mins does it means i should turn of the gas after preheating or the gas will still be on while i place it in for another 30 minutes

No. Only preheat the oven with the oven wire rack for 7 to 10 minutes at most, whiles you are peeling the plantains. Once the oven is preheated, place/arrange the plantains on the preheated wire rack, place them in the oven and roast until you achieve your preferred doneness. Note, turn the plantains after 15 minutes of roasting and roast further for 15 minutes or until golden.
