So I put this broken electrical connector repair at home easy and quick video to help all you folks who may have done the same. In this video I’m working on a Audi but this connector is the same as connectors on volts wagon’s this information will be helpful on any maker model because you can always replace the connector itself without replacing the wiring harness. The pin removal procedure is nearly identical for any kind of plug just uses a different type of tool that’s why most kits that allow you to remove electrical pins come with multiple sizes for different shapes and different styles of pins. Just found you and gonna follow as well. This video was very helpful. But my problem is I need to disconnect the harness. I broke the release tab. Now what?
Cut it off and rewire it. You can buy them pens,
You can get a plug from the junkyard that already has the pins on it and wiring leads . Them Are the simplest ways to fix it?
Thank you for the response. But I'm trying to avoid cutting wires and rewiring. I'd just like to get them disconnected but I broke the secondary release clip

Ive got a 2006 merc mountaineer where coating on wires of mass airflow sensor connector have come off i tried just wrapping them w electrical tapebut still having issues
