That was totally unfair to the other athletes. I really didn't think the Jamaican Athlete that had a minor twitch needed to be disqualified but I understand rules are rules however if you did it then how come the Bahamian got away with it. Definately 100% agreement! I wonder if the International Atheletic body checked out the status of the Bahamas body to host this meet? It was ridiculous!
I took part in Carifta i believe in 2012 in the Bahamas. One of the worst hosts i went to out of the 3 cariftas i attended. We were being served soda for breakfast and breakfast was extremely lackluster. The places provided for our accommodation was using salt water in the showers and sinks…. We went 2 days with no water from our shower head. Meanwhile the Bahamian team was enjoying their stay on paradise island while other teams were suffering.
You're absolutely correct with all assumptions I believe this meet was the most Jamaican athletes have FS and I blame the starters they recalled so many races which makes no sense it's as if they purposely wanted the athletes to FS.
Jamaica should boycott any other events keeping there ..it was plain to see how bad the treat us others too but the jamaicans get the worst. Thanks for sharing, you are on point with your observations. I saw a few of the blunders but you got them all, great job. Does Jamaica really need to participate in CARIFTA? I don't think so. Jamaica performs at a high standard so the officiating and hospitality should be of equally high standards. The Bahamas is not ready for hosting international events and I dont think they will be ready for the 2024 relays. Sports day in Jamaican schools outclass this meet, not to mention Girls and Boys championships.
@@scorpio200218 🤣🤣🤣 really? Both local and foreign scouts are always at B&G Champs. Our athletes have a choice of remaining home and some have done so. We don't need CARIFTA for scouting, thank you.
Very perfectly said...true to the bone. The meet was blatantly biased. Bahamas not ready. Yes their under 20 relay team should have been disqualified. Experienced, trained officials were needed, not volunteers who are clueless to the sport. I truly hope IAAF addresses this. We are going forward, not backward.
I agree 100%. In one race that had a Bahamian commentator,... The entire race commentary was only about one athlete,... the Bahamian athlete. At the end of the race he analysed the athlete's performance so I guess the gold silver and bronze winners are just not that important in the Bahamas. If you point this out to a Bahamian they will inform you that they are the richest island in the Caribbean. Firstly they are not in the Caribbean, and secondly we don't do THAT kind of tourism in Jamaica so I guess we will never be rich, and I'm OK with that.
My dear, you are right and your observations are so correct. Hope Lord Cole listen to you and have a serious conversation with the Bahamian Athletics Association to fix these serious anomalies.
Jamaica High School Champs is over 100 years legacy, participants are from all strata of life in Jamaica, School rivalry is the name of the game, it has nothing to do with poverty, for poverty-stricken people are too weak to run, so are other great Athletes from say USA etc. trying to escape poverty too? this is just jealous disparaging, shame on them..

Very good video. A summary of all the crap that the Bahamas kept up during the Carifta games. Both in an effort to win the games ahead of Jamaica (which they’re far off from) and really because they were not 100% ready to host these games. I guess because Jamaica host things like champs every year we make it look easy but the poor officiating and poor cameramanship took away from the games. The commentators were outstanding but the camera crew…smh.
I am a Bahamian and involved in sports for most of my years. To address the first sentence: note carefully that no one in The Bahamas, in or out of athletics, expected The Bahamas or anyone else to beat Jamaica in Carita. Now, that doesn’t mean that The Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, and others do not dream that one day they will dethrone the juggernauts of regional and international athletics. Competition is partly about vision and belief; no true athlete wants to be competing against others who are not trying to win.
@@BliscaOCof-et3kj I understand that. Friendly competition is good and I am sure like myself many Jamaicans welcome fair and competitive sports. It is exciting when the competition is like that and may the best team win even if it’s not Jamaica. However, the whole 4X100 rerun/ fiasco is not fair. The Bahamian athlete should have been disqualified. The long jump disqualification of the Jamaican athlete to bump her from bronze for the Bahamian athlete is not fair. The ignoring of the winners of each event if they are not Bahamian is also not fair. They only interview Bahamians even when they lose. That’s ridiculous to me. I know Bahamas is hosting it but it’s called CARIFTA for a reason. It’s the entire Caribbean Free Trade Area. So whosoever wins the race is who should be interviewed wether they be Barbadian, Vincentian, Bahamian or Jamaican.
I am a proud Bahamian as you are a proud Jamaican. I was in attendance and i saw the commentators interviewed winners of all countries. I heard the announcers encouraging persons in the stadium to cheer on the Jamaican athletes and athletes from other countries. So I do not know what you are referring to in that regard. But I am sure there is room for improving the hosting and the officiating of these events. All host countries, including Jamaica will have lessons learnt; so let's not isolate this as uniquely Bahamas. It is obvious this is a subjective and opinionated which is to be noted. But thank you for sharing your sentiments and where the Bahamas and other host countries could improve I trust that they do because the idea is to have a safe and professional hosting of these events
Fortunately you were in the stadium but it was unfortunate that you didn't get to see what us the viewers say which corroborate with everything in this post. Of all that was said which hurts the most is the athlete who collapsed at the side of the track and wasn't given immediate medical attention. Supposed it was a cardiac arrest. That's very disheartening to have athletes who have trained hard for a events to be treated in this manner also I feel that it is 100% correct from the videos that I have viewed and what the young lady was talking about is true so someone needs to be held accountable for the way athletes are treated in this manner.

Definately 100% agreement! I wonder if the International Atheletic body checked out the status of the Bahamas body to host this meet? It was ridiculous!
Agreed 100%. Sportsmanship and fairness is required.
They call on their swimming team on to the field coverinng that and it wasnt apart of wats going on there leaving medals to be handed out .and stilling the their flights ready..
They didnt even say jamaica win or congrats.
Only them starts to celabrate all over the field..jamaicans needs to speak out them all ways treating us like this..
This the worst i av ever seen
I shared the same sentiments. Boycott everything that is happening in Bahamas for Jamaica.
Their actions towards the other countries athletes was so distasteful! How could you not remember to put the name of all the finalists on the listing for a final 😲
They were not even discrete with their double standard.
I'm Barbadian and support all athletes from our Caribbean region. Was a little surprised when the teams for the 4×400m relay boys was being introduced, to see the Jamaican team emerge but St. Kitts Nevis name called. Then then the St. Kitts team came out when their name was called again. Maybe I heard wrong. Honest mistake perhaps???
No u never heard wrong we all heard it even the reporters said it…. It’s a disgrace how they tried to do the Jamaicans but God blocked it He wouldn’t let it be so🙏🏾
You did not heard wrong at all.
Delay in the feed. Thats all.
I'm proud to be Jamaican they could never keep us down even if they cheat❤
The next carifta games been held their 🇯🇲 should boycott it and see how interesting it would be.
We did not even cheat y'all just always have something to say about every little thing
@@TCGirlll Take off your blinders and see if you can try to be fair.

stop complaining
Great autopsy of the atrocities!!!!😮
On point!! 🇧🇧
I totally agree with all you have said, in fact you touch on a valid point because this is my second posting on this distasteful matter and I forget to mention this.
They deliberately gave the annonuncers the wrong papers I am going to be honest Jamaica does a excellent job on commenting the games.
Yet there was times when they weren't saying I was wondering what is happening, Only to hear the commentator saying his information is different from the line up for that event. They all need to do better they are adults and these young people are depending on them to show good examples.
I agree with your comments
I have always watched the carifta meet and have never been so disappointed.
Bahamas meet officials were bias and incompetent. We wanted to friendly competition but they creating enemy
Many scouts attend Carifta, and offer athletes scholarships at US colleges. So if Jamaicans dont want to compete here, then they might miss out.
@@scorpio200218 miss out? I PROMISE YOU that more scouts come to boys and girls champs in Jamaica than Carifta. I promise you.
@@scorpio200218 🤣🤣🤣 really? Both local and foreign scouts are always at B&G Champs. Our athletes have a choice of remaining home and some have done so. We don't need CARIFTA for scouting, thank you.
Very well said 💯 percent correct, the officiating was atrocious
I read somewhere they stripped two of Jamaica’s 4x100 medals. That boy who was left in the block should’ve been dq.
Your critque is noted and I am sure officials will improve logistics and contingencies . Thank you for pointing out these faults and or shortcomings.
They think money can buy greatness.
My dear, you are right and your observations are so correct. Hope Lord Cole listen to you and have a serious conversation with the Bahamian Athletics Association to fix these serious anomalies.
Them can't stop Jamaica not one bit, unfair game play twice Big up Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
6:33 at this point I was like “ unno come a unno yard!!!!” 😂😂 bahamas smh my god them try hard asf
And also during the live streaming there were Bahamian saying tings about Jamaicans like " jamaica only way of escaping poverty is track"
They are behaving as if they don’t know what poverty and shanty town is. 😅😅😅

Dem caa stop we no matter how hard dem try when we good we fully good
Very good video.
It bad and like put down Jamaica like we're nobody that's why God always bring us out victorious love you my peeps
@@jamericanyouthtravels1652 thank you
I am a proud Bahamian as you are a proud Jamaican.
It's that blatant unprofessionalis
I was watching it live. Every time an athlete won from any country they interviewed them idk what she talking bout ☠️
That's very disheartening to have athletes who have trained hard for a events to be treated in this manner also I feel that it is 100% correct from the videos that I have viewed and what the young lady was talking about is true so someone needs to be held accountable for the way athletes are treated in this manner.
You are absolutely right. And there were so much more even on the third day. #Distasteful
Very good analysis. Spot on for the incidents you showed. Bahamas was one of the leading nations for track and field in the Caribbean, how they get so?
