Dude, just felt my right glutes working for the first time in years! Thank you! Didn't realize how much my low back was helping.

Thank you Matt. Awareness of our body is so important. Sometimes we get focused on listening to music or watching a video and not paying attention to our body.

tighten your abs and lift your head all the way up chin to chest to engage glutes!!! you can't just say oh I think I'll use my glutes to do this bridge..

I would like to add that most folks who try these exercises in the gym with weights are using WAY too heavy a weight to try to "build up" a muscle that is quite frankly not firing because of neuromuscular connections being dormant for too long. When they attempt a weight too heavy, their over exuberant "large" muscles take over and don't allow these new connections to form.

Very useful information! I am sure I need to do it first without any weight, my ass is like a dead stubborn horse right now.

Thankyou so much for this!Today I went home from the gym after 20 min Couse I was so frustrated with not feeling anything in my right leg, only my left. Its so bad there’s a visible difference in my Butt cheeks and I decided to try your exercises right now and after a few tries,I finally feel something!
I had literally forgotten how it could burn in my right butt cheek!

My takeaway: make sure my brain talks to my butt. Right now, they speak different languages!

Oh my gosh my butt just woke up! Like even with one legged bridges my hamstrings still took over but when I finally realized it was about focusing on squeezing the glutes together it worked! Like for the first time in a long time my butt burned and I literally screamed owww from the fire in my left butt cheek 😂 thank you!!!

I find my issue. My brain and my butt haven't talked to each other in ages. It is extremely hard for my to activate my butt muscles and work with them. I notice after couple repts other muscles starts compensating the movement to be able to finish the exercise.

    • @carlavv5302

@@la33x not 100% but Im getting better. Before I do the bridge I go into posterior pelvic position then I go up. I can't do a lot of reps with the right position, so I need to regroup to use the right muscles. Maybe gravity or weak muscles.

Wow, really useful for me. I'm having to start understanding the use of different muscles around my hip because of a long standing problem. Never used to have to think about it but i can see how for many stretches/exercises I've been using my lower back or quads rather than backside (UK for butt :-) )

what is the difference between 3:37 hip abduction and a normal hip abduction when both legs run straight with head?

The Single leg bridge seems to make my body use the lower back muscles a lot, is this normal? And how do I relax the lower back if not?

lateral leg raises you have to point your toe down and raise a leg towards the back part of your body as opposed to straight up and down or even in the front you can't just think about using your glutes this guy so far is it batting zero
