The boy is on fire with his videos this week. 🔥 Like you, I've never heard of this song or group, but from the second it starts, it's like Eurodisco on speed, or Boney M played on 45, not 33. 😆 Love seeing my boy wig out to the disco fever middle section. 🕺 Wow, that sax solo came outta nowhere!
ABBAMAN.. this group was definitely a disco band I have heard the name but never the music it's very very possible that there is a 12-inch extended version of this and it may extend the saxophone mix I don't know but it's worth checking out. Most disco songs of that period had an extended version 12 inch mix which would be 6.. 7.8 minutes long essentially doubling the length of the single version😊
«Arabesque» is a West German female pop group that worked in the disco genre with elements of high energy. The music for almost all of the band's songs was written by Jean Frankfurter. The «Arabesque» group was founded in 1977 (registered in the German city of Offenbach in a studio owned by producer Frank Farian). At that time, there was a fashion in Europe for "ladies' collectives" or groups. The composition of the «Arabesque» group was unstable and changed several times at the beginning of its existence. In 1979, Haike Rimbaud, who became pregnant, left Arabesque after taking part in the recording of the second album. Seventeen-year-old, little-known Sandra Lauer was accepted instead, and the final line-up became this: Michaela Rose, Jasmin Elizabeth Vetter, Sandra Ann Lauer. The project manager immediately made Sandra an informal leader in the group - in the vast majority of songs the main vocals belonged to her. Mikaela performed solo in a certain number of songs. "Arabesque" were very popular in Japan after they were noticed by representatives of the Japanese record company "Jhinko Music" at the 1978 MIDEM fair in Cannes. In Europe, including their native Germany, before the release of the single "Marigot Bay" in 1980, the band could not boast of "frenzied" success. After that, they gained some fame, but they never rose to the "Japanese" level: of the nine albums released in Japan, only four were released in Germany. In 1984, Sandra's five-year contract to work at Arabesque expired. She decides to start a solo career, and the band's manager stops her existence. Michaela Rose and Yasmin Fetter decided to create a new band called "Rouge". But, in 1988, the band broke up
Good morning Mylord Arabesque is a German band formed in 1977. Disco was very popular in Germany back then. It is a good song for dancing...I am not a dancer😂. What I like about is is the musical arrangement with that strong bass and the strings. They were active from 1977 until 1984 and then again since 2006. Obviously they are quite popular in Japan.
No, Sandra did not sing this song. This song was recorded by the first lineup and sung by Heike Rimbeau. Her voice was also in the songs Fly High, Little Butterfly, Someone Is Waiting For You, Six Times A Day, Friday Night, Give It Up and Hell Driver. In the videos for these songs, Sandra opens her mouth to someone else's soundtrack. ua-cam.com/video/tSzqPoalF2k/v-deo.html
I can see John Travolta burning up the illuminated dance floor! Disco has an undeniable flavour doesn't it!? There should be an extended mix David...if you want to hear more sax...there were always extended mixes.... Am enjoying these random pics. very much! 😊 Keep on boogie...ing bello!🕺😮 CIAO!!
Great one! It reminds me the Boney M. vibe. This is probably from the 70's. Thank you my bro!

I used to love Arabesque and later Sandra. I still do. I am glad you liked it.

Wonderful song. And Sandra is a wonderful singer with a very pleasant voice and a sweet smile. Thanks for these memories and this review.☺

Sandra, one of my favourite artists, came out of this group.
Arabesque Is absolutely fantastic girl band. Sandra sang here. I'm sad that lot of people don't know about them. What a music.

Wow! I love Sandra! Arabesque not so much, but Sandra was really beautiful
I’d say it’s disco themed 😉
Not sure if youve heard of Boney James but it sounds like something they’d do.
