- This is footage from the video shoot for Dream On. These clips originally appeared on the Depeche Mode website but are not available anymore.
I got my hands on a few videos that (I think) haven't made it onto UA-cam yet. Aside from editing clips together and removing as much of the transitions as possible, this is unedited footage. The quality is obviously not the best but I can't do anything about that.

Is this from that enhanced single that came out at the time with this video on the CD? I remember just marveling at the giant hand rolled what I couldn't tell if was a spliff or it was a cigarette Dave has. And I wasn't sure whether to be hopeful it was a a cigarette or not because I didn't think it was good for Dave to smoke cigarettes, but I don't know if smoking weed was good for his sobriety. It wasn't that long after it was an issue at the time, so I remember being really weirded out and confused and curious about that giant hand rolled thing. It's like a freaking flashlight. I'm going to watch the video now for the first time in like 20 years but I definitely remember that hand rolled whatever it is haha
Okay update. This isn't the same video but it's from the same thing so we see more of him with the hand rolled thing, but it's not what I was remembering. He seems to explicitly state that it's tobacco. So if I had seen this instead of the other one, I wouldn't have spent all that time in Senior year of high school trying to divine in my soul whether it was weed or cigarettes. Hahaha man, I sound nuts but only on Depeche Mode, video comments. I sound totally rational and like a normal person about other topics hahaha
I've got to add how disorienting it is because when I last saw this I was like 17 or when I saw the other footage of the behind the scenes and seeing it again these different shots from the same time and it's like when I was 17 they seemed like full-on adults and like I'm their age in this now and it's like but I'm still 12 in my heart hahaha it's just hard to reconcile

Моменты это хорошо только можно было показать как трое участников находятся в автомобиле и ночные северные и солнечные сияние и показали бы женщину с именами которая в образе днём как солнечная богиня и показали мужчину обнимает и целует девушку в виде яркого луча и богиня солнечная и сцену как Дэйв поёт в автомобиле и едет ночью и комнатная сцена в виде витражей
