- This is studio footage from 2005 while Depeche Mode were recording Playing The Angel. It was mostly filmed and narrated by Fletch (FletchCam). These clips originally appeared on the Depeche Mode website but are not available anymore.
I got my hands on a few videos that (I think) haven't made it onto UA-cam yet. Aside from editing clips together and removing as much of the transitions as possible, this is unedited footage. The quality is obviously not the best but I can't do anything about that.

Oh! Fletch and Martin singing Patsy Cline made my heart break. Sounds like Martin did use that country sticker. I'm trying to figure out if Martin was actually sleep. His eye looked open and then closed. Thank you soooo much for posting.
He was struggling hard with his alcohol addiction at this point of time, mourning the loss of his first marriage. IIRC Dave and Fletch were really worried about him during the making of PTA.

I wish someone had properly recorded Martin singing and playing his heart out on "Crazy" - he was really living the emotion of that song since his wife was divorcing him at this time. Gotta love Fletch, but he ruined the moment with his "singing".

how come the videos in the 60`s and 70`s are more clear and sharp than this?
I'm by no means an expert on the topic but Fletch probably filmed this on an early 2000s camcorder, that's why the clips are 4:3 and 480p. Compression has probably also done something to the quality because the file sizes had to be as small as possible. These clips were made to be available on the DM website at the time and you had to download them with early 2000s download speeds.
Muchos criticaron a Fletch de no aportar nada, Alan fue el primero en decirlo. Sin embargo el tenía el trabajo mas importante y principal, mantenerlos unidos. Alan se salio de la banda y no pasó nada, pero murio Andy y Depeche Mode se acabó, simplemente ya no pudieron sostenerlo Dave y Martín solos.😢
