Well Geoff, you did it again. My eyes just got washed again, with tears. There's just something about a Mother that causes us all to reflect back through the years on the special times we were able to share with our Mothers. Yes, as I said before in another post, my Mother was more than just another person in the family. She was my counselor, she provided support in many ways to my siblings in many ways. She washed and ironed our clothing, cooked our meals, tended to our ouchies when we got hurt. And the list could go on forever to reveal all that a Mother will do for her family. What love God placed in their hearts and souls for their families. Sorry, sometimes I keep going on when I reflect upon the good times we were able to share with Mother. Thanks again Geoff. Stan
Perfect. I also just heard your song for a Lea. My mother had cancer the first time when I was 12, then later, when she was in her 70 s. When I was 8, I had the same dream night after night, that she was in a coffin in church in front of a stained glass window , with sunshine streaming onto her face, and I’d wake up crying. I’d never been to a funeral, but started praying she wouldn’t die. Later I asked my older sister how I could have a dream about her in a coffin, when I’d never been to a funeral. She said that when I was 2, when my newborn brother died, my dad had carried me into church, to see him in a tiny coffin. I’ve hated death ever since, and thank God for Jesus Christ, and Easter.

+TreasureLeaf My Dear Jack As you have probably come to know,i wear my heart on my sleeve, and i wanted to share some fleeting glimpses of Mom's life with the world. It was not easy, but something i felt compelled to do. As you probably know the Americans were sending food and clothing parcels to the UK during the war. My mother was in receipt of one such parcel, and there was a letter from the sender inside. She and my Mother became "pen pals" and exchanged letters for 70 years. (I found them all the other day) We received a letter from her son informing us that she had passed away on the 21st of December, so we had to reply to let him know that Mom had gone on the 23rd. Such a strange coincidence. Apparently she had a photograph of Mom on the wall above her desk. Bless you for your kindness Jack. It is a privilege to know you my friend. Geoff.

+jeta770 Hi Tony "D" It had been a very traumatic time as you can imagine, and i found it difficult to "let go" of my emotions as it were. So i turned to music which i find is a great therapy. It certainly did the trick as i pored everything into it. Things are slowly getting better,but the house clearing still goes on. Its amazing how many possessions a person can collect in 94 years. I've heard it at a very low volume, as I think it was supposed to be. I've still my mother and can't completely share your grief (dad has gone almost six years ago, however). Looking in the face of your old mom for the features of that happy girl of 15-17 in the previous pics is a reminder of what life is: we have to be grateful for any moment given us, and the moments we share with our beloved ones. Death, as painful as it may be, is a great teacher for the days left. Accept my condolence, dear Geoff.

My Dear Jack
As you have probably come to know,i wear my heart on my sleeve,
and i wanted to share some fleeting glimpses of Mom's life with the world.
It was not easy, but something i felt compelled to do.
As you probably know the Americans were sending food and clothing parcels to the UK during the war.
My mother was in receipt of one such parcel, and there was a letter from the sender inside.
She and my Mother became "pen pals" and exchanged letters for 70 years. (I found them all the other day)
We received a letter from her son informing us that she had passed away on the 21st of December,
so we had to reply to let him know that Mom had gone on the 23rd. Such a strange coincidence.
Apparently she had a photograph of Mom on the wall above her desk.

It had been a very traumatic time as you can imagine, and i found it difficult to "let go" of my emotions as it were.
So i turned to music which i find is a great therapy. It certainly did the trick as i pored everything into it.
Things are slowly getting better,but the house clearing still goes on. Its amazing how many possessions a person can collect in 94 years. I was surprised by the reaction of a lot of people here on UA-cam,and they have been so supportive.

I've heard it at a very low volume, as I think it was supposed to be.
I've still my mother and can't completely share your grief (dad has gone almost six years ago, however). Looking in the face of your old mom for the features of that happy girl of 15-17 in the previous pics is a reminder of what life is: we have to be grateful for any moment given us, and the moments we share with our beloved ones. Death, as painful as it may be, is a great teacher for the days left.
