Thank you very much for the video. Thanks to you I was able to build my own server. When I add an Icarus server to Windowsgsm the ports are 17777 and 27015 by default. When I changed it to 27015 and 27016 like in your video, it was successful. and by getting static IP service from my internet service provider :) There is another issue I want to ask. One server means one map. Do I understand this correctly? In this case, is it possible to run more than one Icarus server at the same time from the same server computer I set up at home? My goal is to make a dedicated server for Olympus, styx, prometheus maps separately.
For others who were maybe confused like me... it does not seem like its possible to do a direct join using IP/Hostname You are expecting to join through server browser list
Is there any way to make the server 'pause' in a way to not let everything be destroyed when no one is online and only resume when someone wants to connect? Only real way I can figure is remoting into the PC and manually starting it every time.
@@GameServerHelp Im not sure, I guess Ill just have to see. I know the timeout setting for default of 300 seconds the server stops. I figured out how to use a Discord bot through GSM to let my friends just start it up when they need to so it should be fine. Now to just figure out how to do it on Linux so I can put my Steam Deck to some actual use lol
it is just a matter of moving save files, the trick is to get all the files, you can how ever just duplicate them and make sure the new server is working normal before moving the old
I had the same problem. after a few days of trying various things I was able to realize that this was the problem. I was able to solve the problem by getting StaticIP service from my internet service provider.

I don't know of any restriction. You would just need to use different ports for any server you run at the same time.
@@GameServerHelp Thank you. I was able to set up multiple servers when I assigned ports 27015/27016 to one server and 27017/27018 to the other.
@@idefix26 awesome, thanks for letting me know. you are the first one to ever ask about multiple maps in that game.

Thanks! Did you try to connect that way after your server was up and running?

it usually depends on the game, some games go to "sleep" and some do not. Icarus, I thought went to sleep when everyone was offline.

@@AxTROUSRxMISSLE I don't know anything about Linux, seems to be prefered by people in the know. have fun with it.
i wonder if there's any way to copy/convert existing prospect data to dedicated server?

@@ZackZaimi.TikTok Awesome, glad to hear it!
It's annoying when you try for a long time to open the server then you discover that youre behing a CGNAT🤒
There are too many random little things that cause problems or prevent being able to run a server that is for sure.
