I have discovered Buddha actually has been recognized as a saint and I think he deserves it. Many Catholics are embracing meditation and learning about zen and Buddhism which is awesome. Just do research about jesus and buddha and u will see many similarities. I am positive both are in heaven/nirvana together. Buddhism has pulled me out of real bad depression and anxiety. Buddhist teaching does overlap Hinduism and Taoism. The core single volume reference manual for Buddhism is "Dakini Teachings" by Padmasambhava. You won't find any resemblance.

The moment I hear this mantra, I felt so calm but I cried with happy tears because It just brought up an image that I was a newborn wrapped with white cotton scarf, and this mantra like a lullaby someone sang to calm me. And I saw that newborn was flow in a green valley with mountain view far away 🏔. I felt so real and so strange.
