    That was happy, Danny. Hillcrest was my shopping district when I grew up in Banker's Hill. Now I'm enjoying life here in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. Best wishes.

    I used to deliver in Hillcrest and it’s clean, people are friendly, and there is a lot of restaurants!
    THE PRIDE PARADE I HEARD DOESNT GET AS WEIRD AS IT USED TOO

    We live in San Diego. Hillcrest is a fun place to visit. But, I would not want to live there. Truthfully, large portions of Hillcrest are rundown, dirty and unsafe. Also, there are just too many homeless people. So, live in Mission Hills, or Normal Heights, or Kensington, or Talmadge, and scoot into Hillcrest when you want to have some edgy fun.

      It definitely isn't for everyone! Those other neighborhoods are less busy options for sure. Thanks for leaving your comment Andy!

    I spent a lot of time in Hillcrest (1987-1995). My first Pride Parade was in Hillcrest. I have such great memories of the neighborhood.

    I live in Chicago but I visited SD in March for a month and I fell in love with the city! Goal is to move there within a year.
    How is the job market there?

      That’s awesome to hear!
      Job market is really strong in San Diego. I’ve met a lot of people in the last year and I would say nearly 90% are here for a job opportunity (tech, medical, research, defense, sales,and so many other different fields!)

      @@MovingtoSanDiego278 That's awesome to hear! I am in consulting here but I wouldn't mind trying other areas.
      How far does $1900/month take you as far as rent goes? That's how much I pay for my 1 bed here in Chicago in the Gold Coast neighborhood, which is like 3 blocks away from the lake and the beaches here.

      One bedrooms would be your best bet to stay relatively close to central San Diego/beaches. A lot of people like to house hack and get a 2 bedroom finding a roommate and being able to keep their monthly rent around $1000-$1200 a month.

    I drove throw this place yesterday going to the zoo. Very sadden to see all the perverted flags. San Diego used to be the gem of all CA.
    Not a single American flag in town.

    • @nightowl5475
      @nightowl5475 Рік тому

      What perverted flags did you see there? I’ve never been there? There has to be an American flag somewhere. Where I live, they’re all over the place. People usually have them on their front porch.

      If you’re referring to the gay flag, then you shouldn’t be there. No room for hate.
