This is the fist tine I have watched this reporter. A very personable presentation, and he kept useful information coming without having to insert superfluous commentary like other reviewers do when trying to avoid dead silence. I'm off to now watch his video on the changes in 2021 Volvos.

Your review was good BUT you need to invest in a gimbal mount for the camera and a decent mic. The video is so shaky I could barely watch it. I was getting car sick sitting in a chair

The fleet of Press vehicles is really thin right now. Personally, after owning a 2020 S60 T8 and now having a 2020 S90 T6, I wouldn't hesitate to jump into the S90 B8 ER.

The battery will recharge itself up to 80% in charge mode. It will take less time with the engine than it would on a level 2 charger. A thorough charge on occasion from a plug is probably best.
Sorry but how come that the 180 km/h limit is not enough for you? You are not in Germany, so why break the law and complain that Volvo doesn't let you break the law?

Great video. I currently drive the 2021 XC60 T6 and am considering the Recharge next. I have a quick (possibly dumb) question: Since the starter and A/C (etc.) are beltless and run off the electric battery, are you ever at risk for losing these functions if the electric battery is fully drained by being inattentive and exhausting the range while in "PURE" mode??? Or are these powered by a stand alone battery system? Also, did you regret not having the ability to manually control shifting in this car? Lastly, I believe that this can be charged from a standard garage outlet of appropriate amperage, no? Thanks for any information that you can provide. I'm glad to be a subscriber of your UA-cam channel!
Recharge ac compressor will run and if the drivetrain battery is low, the engine turns on to charge. You can use 110v charging, but that is only 1kwh so it will take 11 hours to charge up to 22 miles of range. 7kwh level 2 220v 30amp will take under 2 hours to charge. The engine has a charge mode as well which does better than 110v.
@@RoadandTract Thank you for that information. However I believe that the maximum charge that the XC60 Recharge can "take" is 3.6kwh, irrespective of the level of 220v and 30+ amperage. I have purchased the XC60 T8 Recharge since my query and upgraded to 220v service in my garage. I'm thrilled with the car and (because of predominantly local driving) I have used less than 1/2 tank (9 gal) in the 500 miles that I've driven (almost 60 mpg).

No massaging seats on the T-8 Recharge Inscription for 2021. Took me a while to figure that out on mine.
It's not an option this year? It's been an option on inscription models.

Yup, can't have the booster seats and heating at the same time unfortunately.
And unfortunately a polestar upgrade won't remove the 112 MPH limit.
