I find that it's always good practice when doing work on them system to clean the F&E tank as some times when filling back up it can pull all the dirt from the tank into the system and block pipe work especially on micro bore systems
When fitting filter on open vent would you bung it every time depending on house size? Also do you need to isolate cold feed or will bunging it without isolating cold feed be sufficient
Yup I always bung mate. If there's an isolation for cold feed I'll turn it off as well, just in case the bungs let by or fail. Isolate everything where you can lol
Great video as usual.those sentinel vortex 300 filters are a complete pain out of the box i think that adjustment nut on the back is done up by a body builder and yes they leak . trying to get the top off is another matter. That ideal logic with flame loss fault? That's weird because as you say correct gas pressures there . Anyhow keep up the fantastic content
Had it a load of times on Baxi’s with the aluminium heat ex, tries to light does a fart and baffles out. Heat ex blocked up. P1 goes to below 10 it’s the heat ex restricted.
@@cputilitysolutions those Ali heat Exchangers love to block up and do funny things with ignition. I’ll have a bet it’s that, blocked flue way in the heat ex. We get it a lot at a certain company 🫣
Weird fault on that logic. I thought they’d run at 14mb. I’ve seen them running on some hideously undersized pipe work and still run without locking out. Bit disappointed you didn’t use your gas engineers X- Ray vision to see that extra ecv through the boxing in. I’m pretty sure a lot of customers think we’ve got that.
I'd left my X-ray glasses on charge at home that day 😂 yeah it threw me because there was still enough gas going to it from what I could see on my u-gauge
I reckon it was something else. Doesn't make sense that you had gas and the u guage was blipping when trying to fire. Had something similar on an Esprit Eco yesterday and it turned out to be the flame sensing electrode.
There are only Mechanical Engineers and Civil..., Gasfitters would probably be more correct term ❤ Unless England makes up more fields that really have never been a thing ?
Yes it should not have isolation on vent But wouldnt explode as the pressure would go up the feed pipe into the heating/hot water system and back into fne or cws. Unless both are isolated 🤯

👍🏽
Good video pal 👍🏻
Thanks mate
If that’s a combined feed and vent that isolation valve has to be removed,it breaks regs boiler could become potential bomb if turned of when running
I’m sure you’ve been asked before, but where did you get your middle seat organiser from pls?
It's the Bott Smartvan organiser mate
Love the music
What tool you using to get the rad tails out?
Thanks bro, just a rothenberger rad tail removal tool

Should be no valves open or closed on an open vent
Great video
I love this waterproof matt ,from where you get it.
Thank you
Today's Tools mat from MacDonald Plumbing Supplies 👍🏽
What unilite is that mate? Do you recommend?
Unilite IL-925R definitely recommend!

That's the thing, P1 was only blipping to 18mb or so which had me baffled

@@alimack5489 good to know mate. Yeah I'm not a fan of the ally hex's either. Stainless all the way where I can
Good video Mate,
I’d say there was more to that Ideal Logic,
The Appliance had gas and you got the blip on your Ugauge,
Think 🤔 thinking 💭 🧐 🤦♂️
🤜🤜👍
Exactly, one of those I'll never know!

If you want to grow your channel, I find some how to tips, tricks and hacks will always prove a popular choice bro!
Nice one thanks 👌🏽
Vent shouldn’t have an isolation valve on it, possible steam explosion if accidentally turned off, good practice would be to remove it
👍🏽
It's what people think they can get away with.
Yes it should not have isolation on vent
But wouldnt explode as the pressure would go up the feed pipe into the heating/hot water system and back into fne or cws.
Unless both are isolated 🤯
Or the cold feed gets blocked, which isn't unusual.
Boiler will have a high limit stat so not the end of the world
Pobodys Nerfect 😁
