    I play average level , last pair of gloves £100. I'm not a fan of broken fingers. Lower levels of cricket generally poorer standard less forgiving balls. By all means save money on a bat but not on PPE

    Which type of gloves do you think is better for tapping as of drills sessions and what type for nets/ match batting.

    Learnt my lesson the hard way. I play club level, usually 4th/5th XI so not very high standard and during the game £35 gloves are usually fine. It was during the nets where I was facing 1st XI bowlers and a guy was bowling 75-80 mph and I misjudged the bounce on a delivery which hit the inside of my right hand. Broke immediately.
    Cheap out on your pads/bats if you have to, never on gloves or helmets.

    Question? so are split finger gloves better since you can grip the bat better?

      Tom has your answer! Split fingers offer a lot more flexibility in the glove!

      I’ve used both and I personally prefer sausage finger gloves. I don’t think there’s much difference, but I didn’t like split finger gloves. I just personally can’t explain why.

      My advice is just get whatever you feel most comfortable in. Theres no better option, both have pros and cons

      We always recommend heading to your local specialist store when buying any cricket equipment. Its so helpful to get a feel for the equipment your buying, as Greg mentions its all about personal preference and comfort!

    Hi Richard I am a fast bowler and I tend to copy other bowlers bowling action how should I solve this

    • @SeriousCricketTV
      @SeriousCricketTV  2 роки тому

      Hi Essam,
      Spend more time looking at what the ball has done. The outcome of the bowling action rather than the bowling action itself.
      As long as your action is safe it should keep your focus in the right place.
      Richard 🏏

    Why is it that we see professional cricketers after being hit on the gloves with even an 85mph delivery, they are in pain and the physio comes running onto the field???? surely even the top end gloves arent providing enough protection...

    • @Jackcarr87
      @Jackcarr87 2 роки тому +2

      Because it catches your hand against the bat handle so your hand has nowhere to go and takes the full impact rather than being able to recoil. Better a bruised hand than broken! You don't see as many broken hands/fingers as you used to.
