I haven't worked in a cafe in years but latte art was what made it fun for so many years. I miss trying to get as many rosettas into the top of a piccolo as I could and hiding my pain when someone would just slap a lid on a takeaway order without even looking at it. I get annoyed though, watching some other brewtubers spending 3 minutes pouring something that looks good while customers stand there waiting. I guess I only ever worked in high volume places though.
Jade's latte art is nothing short of outstanding, she wins this round. I really like the entire video, the insides jokes and the numerous tips and step by step recap by Josh. Superb video editing. in my book Seven Miles Coffee Channel wins ! only unknown, how is your chess game ??
Thank you for the tutorials, Latte art by the way is not so popular in this part of the India, but I am so fascinated by it and want to learn. I was just trying to find out when to straighten the cup.
Great video, loving the casual vibes. Getting steamed milk texture right is eventually the most important, it should be number 1 still instead of number 4. I am not a pro just yet, but I feel like most amateurs can still get away to make simple classic Heart and Tulip patterns even if their milk is a bit too foamy. But when you begin to introduce the wiggling technique which is essential in Rosetta, a good milk texture becomes non-negotiable. And sorry umm.. Jade's looked more beautiful, Josh. Both for her latte art and her appearance 😅
Awesone video and tips! Honestly, I was getting the blob and wasn't sure why, after watching this, it made me understand. I am glad you don't show only just how to, but also troubleshooting the mistakes which helps us. And secondly, I don't know if its just me, but Jade reminds me of Colleen from Iron Fist :)
Jade 💯! Thanks for the tips. I'm going to try to actually use a Large Latte Mug instead of the Cap Glass I've been using to see if that makes the pour a bit easier.
Love your work guys! Always following and watching these tutorials. I'm self taught in latte art, but I still watch these as I could learn a thing or two from the professionals!
serving temperature :) although anything above 70 degrees celsius, the milk fats & proteins starts to break down, so you may start finding it a bit difficult from there
For years, my method for art (and serving) is just to heat until I can't hold my hand on the jug anymore. For my wife, she does the same plus about 2 seconds.
I'm getting better with steaming the milk. I add the milk to create the base but I don't get the white color to make a pattern. Maybe that means I am not getting better steaming the milk.
Thinner texture :) Less stretching and thinner texture lends itself better to finer detailed rosettas.... mind you that day I just wasn't on form hahahaha!!
Jade may not have the beard, but her pour is pretttyyyy damn good. I score it 40 caffeine molecules to 1 caffeine molecule for the winner, Jade :p #madeupscoringsystemsarefun
Be warned fellow newbs - during your practice attempts of this design, it may regularly appear as what is coloquilally known as an 'ejaculatte'. Be sure to warn your grandma before serving it to her.
Terrible video, didn't work for me whatsoever. No design ever appears on the top of the cup and this video fails miserably to address why this keeps happening to me
Could be the consistency of your milk, probably too thick? Or not smooth enough. Try pouring your milk into another jug after steaming this should help make sure the foam is easily mixed through your milk.
How am I the first comment? Uh... hands down. Jade by a landslide! 😜
The truth was hard to admit, but Josh has officially conceded defeat.
@@SevenMilesCoffeeRoasters😮😮😮😮😮
I once made a josh’s version by mistake to a customer and got him laughing so hard🤣🤣
Oh, so I was not the only one seeing it... lol
Nice job on the phallic latte Josh!

Josh’s latte kinda looked like a 🍆. I’m glad I’m not the only one that saw that. 😂

Is there a recommended cup size ? 200 or 230ml?
I'm getting better with steaming the milk. I add the milk to create the base but I don't get the white color to make a pattern. Maybe that means I am not getting better steaming the milk.
Jade won!

What size is the cup?

Great vid guys, very insightful! Sorry Josh it’s got to be Jade’s . 🤣Good try though. I think she’s had a lot of practice 👍🏼
And male and female He created them...❤️
Being trying this for weeks now.
Difficult
Plain leaf is way prettier than a Rosetta but no one ever does them.
I always draw an art like josh. I don't know how to solve that leaves looks very weird and thin... Somebody can tell me the reason?
Thinner texture :)
Less stretching and thinner texture lends itself better to finer detailed rosettas.... mind you that day I just wasn't on form hahahaha!!
Jade s polite

It seems the important trick starts at 3‘23“, something no one has ever explained.
Very nice pointer; thank you!!

I wish there was real time, full speed footage of Jade’s pour. Seems like all of it was slowmo
Set the video playback to 1.75 speed and that's pretty much the normal speed of Jade's pour :)
At 4:46 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
