I remember when I 1st began to practiced this piece as a freshman in college 1985-86 school year, because it was in my book of Clarinet Concertos, but I never worked it up to performance standards. Now, it is really really lovely to hear it so beautifully performed after all these years. Thank you very much!!!
Exceptionally good. I had never really thought this concerto was worth much as a piece of music, but this proves me completely wrong. Amazingly fine playing but all the more so because he is bringing out the essence of the piece both in the solo part and in the orchestra. Not showy bravura, just really fine musicianship all round.

Медленная же часть его вносит некоторые умиротворение в музыкальную ткань произведения. Конечно, в смысле мелодического богатства, чистоты и ясности музыкальной мысли музыка концерта значительно уступает концерту Моцарта для клиента. И не случайно, ведь искусство Моцарта подняла ее творца на самую вершину музыкального Олимпа. Третья часть концерта, традиционно быстрая и очень динамичная то же довольно интересная, и не плохая❤❤❤.
Extremely good rehearsed orchestra with nice details! - Maestro, I was irritated when reading along in the score that the last movement is indicated 'Allegretto'. I know it also in the quick virtuoso tempo. Is there some special reason for this tradition, resp. what kind of music do you consider it, since Weber has many pieces influenced by traditional or folk music like dances (e.g. the 1st Ännchen-Aria from the 'Freischütz' which is a Polonaise)?
Почему не ополовинить состав для исполнения веберского концерта? Было бы то, что нужно. А так, оркестр с четырьмя контрабасами etc. конечно забивает один кларнет.
Zu schnell, zu oberflächlich! Aber in einigen Jahren könnte es noch etwas werden. Too fast, too superficial! But in a few years it could still be something.
Trop de fioritures. Manque des nuances ff. tout ne se mesure pas qu’à la technique et au double détaché. Je reste sur ma faim quant au niveau de l’interprétation. Il sera ou est un grand clarinettiste.

The orchestra has a wonderful sound and ballance. He also has wonderful tone but I agree with everyone else who said it's simply too fast.
