Recently received a box. Great fun and relatively simple to paint if you have experience. There are straight sword arms but no straight scabards, only scabards for the heavy falchion choping blades, a minor point.
I think the Sergeants look excellent. Well done Dom. I like those shield decals and I think I will like you use them sergeants/ mercenary units. I've just ordered a couple of sheets from etsy.
Good examples of how to build them for a particular era by selecting certain helmets and shields - I can see at least one box of these in my future, alongside the rest of this line
Thorough review. With a few more spears in the set I think these would be a good basis for schiltrons for Stirling Brigde, Falkirk, and Bannockburn. Do you think that they would be easy enough to convert by drilling out hands?
Armour would have been passed down in the poorer families. So armour going back centuries would not have been uncommon. It’s just the rich 🤑 or well off would obviously kit themselves out with the latest fashion
I’m doing a levy army for lion rampant. My elites have great weapons and helmets with robbed chain mail. Anything is possible if it’s within historical limitations. So your units can be very well mixed with kit
Great video. Wargames Atlantic are quickly becoming one of my favorite miniatures manufacturers, particularly for filling the ranks
Couldn't agree more!
Me too
Wargames Atlantic is simply awesome! I also really like their sci fi stuff like the Raumjäger Infantry and the Catachan - Proxies
Yeah i am very impressed with them so far
Very Nice unboxing, great to see, what is coming up, and a good wargames paint job...!!
Thanks 👍

Yes fair point i missed on my unboxing
Very cool 👍🏻
They are nice
Great unboxing Dom, it certainly looks to be a very versatile kit as you show. 👍
It really is!
Thank you , Dom .
🐺Loupis Canis .
Thank you too!

Many thanks. Yes the transfers are excellent and easy to use
Good unboxing, thanks for sharing. Also good to see I'm not the only person who drops bits of plastic on the floor. 😁
😁. Every time I do I wonder why I have a dark rug under my desk…..
great review. The figure look terrific
Thanks!

They have a lot of variety for sure
Great review Gav,I've not even started my levy yet lol, they look good
Thanks 👍
Good review Dom
Definitely tempted by those 😊 possibly used with kit and helmets for lesser knights of the period
Definitely!

Cheers mate. Good shout. I think yes you should be able to drill them out
it will be interesting to see how these mix with the upcoming Vitrix set of the same
yes it will
The should mix better with Fireforge the sculpting is very similar.
These troops would look excellent as a Nobles retinue, or to use a few to lead the peasant levy troops.
Yes leading the peasants is a good idea
My only grouch is they could have added another figure spruce for 30 figures per box. If Northstar can they can for the same price.
But then they might have charged us £30 like the peasants I bet
FYI, Early medieval is roughly 550-900ish, these guys would be 'high' medieval. Mostly befitting the 13th century though lookin at the sculpts.
I bow to your knowledge

Yep exactly my thought

What amazes me with these plastic spues is the amount of waste in terms of leftover plastic. Is there any way that it can be recycled?
Have you heard of sprue goo?
I certainly keep the spare parts but not sure what can be done with the spruce parts themselves
