Nudi’s absolutely wiped out my aptasia problem last year. They’re expensive but worth it! Good video Dev!

I may move the zoas and nudis to their own tank until the deed is done then re-introduce them.

Holy glass anemone Batman!! Reach out to some nudi sellers and see if they will take some tasia from you. Might be able to trade out for more nudi’s. Seems to me that the people farming the nudi’s would be dying for some food for there stock

Love the little Filefish!! I'm going to add one in the beginning to keep Aptasia away. Been there in my last tank. Glad you're making some head way!!

I haven’t seen him eat them but there is some aiptasia I have notice disappear so it’s a good sign! Also nudi eggs in the sump so will keep rotating zoas down for cleaning hehe! We shall win!!!

Small aiptasia eating filefish and peppermint shrimp supply are the best control. Never seen an aiptasia eating file fish go at coral. They will even munch down and eliminate large aiptasia. Can be kept in pairs or groups. Also easy to catch and remove from tanks.

You know, I know this sounds like another one of those contradictory UA-cam comments just for the sake of being contradictory, but, I’m telling the truth.
I bought a Aiptasia eating filefish a few months back, within 15 minutes of being introduced to the tank it had taken a nice big chunk out of some of my zoas. Right in front of my eyes. Could’ve very well been a one time event but I didn’t want to risk it. It went back to the fish store.
Just wanted to throw out a cautionary heads up - they’re not all entirely reef safe.

There are a few filefish that look similar to aiptasia eating filefish, but they aren’t. I had one that had a slightly greenish hue to it. After it ate all the apitasia munched on the acans. Easy to note and got him out of tank easily. The others I have just decimated aiptasia, eat pellets, flakes, mysis and have never touched a coral. They are slightly tan and mottled. I think the species name is tormentus.
Just like with peppermint shrimp, you need to get the correct species.

I bought a couple of Bergia nudibranchs to munch their way the aptasia population in my tank. I do occasionally see the nudis and it seems like aptasia armageddon as they are disappearing.

Looking forward to the updates 😁 any of that old equipment you take off feel free to donate to me 🤣🤣 I'm definitely a gear junkie, might enjoy it more then the tank itself sometimes 🙉🙈🙊 1 of the many reasons I love this channel! I think we both enjoy the goodies underneath the tank as much as whats in it lol or maybe you don't but even if not you still got all the nice and new gear out so it makes it super easy to enjoy watching, plus I'm always walking away with something new I learned 😁😁

Once you get a handle on that your going to be a millionaire selling the nudibranchs. Joking aside where did you get them in CND. I assume another reefer as I have not seen there for sale. Good luck with the fight, I am in it also. I am dealing with them using kalkwasser paste. Not that I am winning.
