Ahh, the elusive Collection concealer! Every American girl who read blogs or watched UA-cam between 2008-2013 wanted to get their hands on one! I have also found the ELF camo concealers to look very cakey. ive gone through a tube of each formula but I agree with liking the original a tad more than the hydrating. If I can find the Essence and Morphe I will have to try those next! They look lovely on you!
@@AngelissimaASMR Haha, that is so funny to hear about the Collection 😄 Great to hear about your experiences with the Elf because sometimes I think that I’m the problem 😂 Thanks for watching my lovely 🩷
I'm 69 and used to use a Rimmel concealer in a lipstick style container for many years . Then started to use the Maybelline Rewind which hasn't changed until recently. I've just purchased the L'Oreal True Match and I do really like it but wish I'd seen your video first. Great content ❤
@@eleanor543 Hi Linda, thank you so much for sharing your experiences with different concealers ☺️ I really love the L’Oreal True Match, it’s so light and easy. I guess our under eyes tend to change so it’s hard to find one single concealer to use forever. The quest always continues 😄💜
@@caraj9704 Hi Cara! Oh I can completely relate, I was the same at one point! Honestly, the drugstore has come a long way - both in terms of price and quality. So many rivals to high end these days! 🩷☺️
@@CarmelNicoleBeauty of course! I’m fussy about concealer and am always interested in what other people like and why. You’re a fair bit younger than me but we seem to appreciate similar things in our concealer 🤩😘
As usual, your vid is so helpful because you thoroughly test, inform and illustrate. Appreciate all the work you did. I had the same reaction to the Maybelline Age Rewind. There was so much publicity for it, so I tried it, but it did not work for me. I will try the Revlon Colorstay because I love Revlon products, and it is in your overall picks. I use the Lancome concealer, but even though it is high end, I am not thrilled with it. Thanks again for giving me the information I need to find a concealer that works for my dry undereyes, and will hopefully reduce or diminish creasing.
@@Ltmotley Thank you so much, Laurie! Really interesting to hear your thoughts on the Lancôme- I’ll be putting together a high end video on concealers at some point, so it’ll be interesting to see how they compare! Thanks for being here 😘🩷
Looking forward to that. Will be interesting to see what you think. It is the best one I have found but still struggle with the dry undereyes and circles on my aging skin. I do love Lancome products. The vid where I discovered your channel had to do with the undereyes, and I am so appreciative of the technique you showed us. It helps. ❤
@@heathernelson4886 Hi Heather! I love the Tower 28 too, but think I prefer the Nyx now. It’s not quite as light & serum feeling as the Tower 28, but it definitely creases less on me ☺️
A timely video Carmel thank you!! I also struggle with colour matching when buying online but never know where to start when I get to store. The last 2 concealers I bought online were so orange I looked ridiculous. I think I will probably try the Revlon colorstay. Helpful and inciteful as always Carmel. Hope you're well? Xx❤
@@jillianpurdy2542 Oh it’s the worst, Jillian! Hi beauty! Really enjoyed this video on Elf. I'm trying some of their products next payday. I'm so glad you reminded me about the concealer!!! 😂 I had to make an updated buy list...🤣🤣 I've reached the age where I can't remember a shopping list... i’ve loved the catrice true skin concealer for years now. such an incredible formula. but i agree with you that the shade range is awful! and i also liked the wet n wild incognito at first but not as the day/night wore on. excited to pick up the loreal serum concealer soon ✨
@@laur83 Oh the Catrice shade range is really poor isn’t it! 😕 It’s also great to hear about your experience with the Wet n Wild - it’s a shame because it starts off so beautifully! Not sure if you’ve ever tried their foundation (the dewy) but it’s absolutely stunning & stays that way all day! 😊 Thanks for sharing Laura and hope you love the L’Oréal as much as I do! 🩷
For what it’s worth, that Morphe concealer did not look bad after you blended it out. I think the shade was not that far off, especially since you look fairly tan. Just my thoughts. I didn’t think it looked “straight up orange.”
@@jsel6576 Thank you so much for that feedback! I think it looked more orange off camera, but you’re right about it not being too bad once it was blended and set! I’ll still use it because it was a good concealer 🙂
