I have one extra tip that works on top of tip 1. If you really want those complex macro's every time you load your device. You can set up an ini patch with those macro's in place. Then right click the device in the bottom panel in Bitwig and press "set as default preset". Now every time you load your device, it will load with your complex macro's.
This was really helpful, thanks man. I don't know if others feel the same way, but you could make this a regular thing imho. It definitely helps with the transition from Ableton. 👍
6:36 slice at repeats was an update added with 4.1 I think. So this is still kinda new and a crazy workflow feature that is EASILY overlooked. Thanks for shedding some light on it. :)
Cheers for showing me the collections and samples trick, I've got a 8 tb drive full of samples with a hundred main folders or something 😁. Also the next thing you show, I spend so much time trying to find uvi shade out of my 300 favourite plugins, and finding all these weirdly named ones i love that will also be faster 😎👍
Hi DG, I wonder if you still use Cubase for mixing/mastering and if you will check the new Cubase 14 version that’s includes now modulators and pattern sequencer for producing.
👍 I learned something. Looking forward to the next 5 tips. Will be cool if you cover how do you organise your session with all those folders and subfolder groups structures. I'm new to BW and I didn't get that yet. Cheers
I am at the beginning of the video lol. But just in case.. With BitWig, when i am in arrangement view and creating create a MIDI clip to drag and drop to the clip launcher; the MIDI clip I originally created will sometimes stop playing. Even if I create a new MIDI clip on the same track, there is no audio.. Basically, I have to restart BitWig when it happens.. May I ask your opinion on this please, sir ? :). May be a user error or maybe it is an error in the Demo version I am using...BTW, I am really happy your transition process went so smoothly :D haha
That's silly considering Bitwig is the only DAW I have ever used which works flawlessly with almost any MIDI controller, even my DIY one, with almost no tweak and setup. Most of the time those original midi controllers are just made in a shitty inMusic factory next to some m-audio or akai rubbish, and just labeled with a fancy sticker and priced tripple.

Thx for the note chase.... Finally a minor but a burden is resolved 👍👍👍👍
so much Bitwig, so little time...
You can export all your old Bitwig settings and collections into your new install
Yep, but I like doing this from default, so I can explain this stuff in tutorials
I have to switch. Bitwig looks awesome
I'm loving Butwig. These are so helpful. 🙏
As always, appreciate you, Dash!
Nice share brotha! I love the pin system! I just wish we could use the pin system to pin things to the right click menu!
Doggy Glitch. Nice! ❤️🔥

Amazing tips Dash thank you so much,
Hi. Dash. It can also be configured with remote control modulators. Just need to save as the default preset.

on the right side of the clip launcher are icons to enable timeline playback
I wont buy bitwig till they make original midi controller
You can use any controller check drivenbymoss midi controllers integration. For example with push you can do anything
Such a silly reason to not use a DAW, especially one that can support almost any midi controller.
