Potential spoiler. I felt so bad for the MC. He was truly a victim of psychological, and emotional abuse. So glad he got something of a happy ending. Yes, if you pay attention to the final chapter, he did get better.
Yeah in also happy with the ending to. First time a book actually made me cry. 😭
Its more like he accepted his life, he knows that everything could have been better if he knew how to handle the situation and be more mature ( like trying to make her mother laught and feel alive again, not leaving his crush, being more with his father...) but at the same time he doesnt accuse himself because he was just a child who couldnt know better.
After a life that can be considered a real tragedy and miserable, i dont think he was happy but at least he found peace and serenity

A peaceful ending it was, it was a very devastating manga for me seeing seichi like how his mother loved him abnormally then abandoned him. Seeing his messed up life because of her mother was very saddening for me but at last the ending was peaceful
I just realized Seiko is basically the worst extreme of a boymom
I forget which chapter of blood of the tracks it is, but what got me more than any other part was when it switched to the objective view of Seiko and you realize that she doesn't look like what seichi sees, but her covert incest has manipulated even his very perception of her. He subconsciously sees her as younger and prettier than she actually is, but we the audience aren't told this until pretty late into th manga.

I don’t think it’s the covert incest per-se that made his perception of her much younger. I think it was more of a style choice by Oshimi because we constantly see her old, young, then old again. It symbolizes her immaturity.
This manga is the epitome of a creepy and thriller fiction.................... The story is a masterpiece itself but the art just tenfold the experience , the way that the mangaka can make you feel uncomfortable and uneasy just by drawing a human face is so bizarre....... 10/10 manga!

I actually finished reading this manga ages ago, and it was horrific. The amount of emotion in the panels were almost sickening sometimes. I wouldn't recommend it for a lot of people, even people who like darker manga. It's amazing but very dark.

Man, when sei left yuiko the second time and didn't end up back with her, i can't lie. I was heartbroken, especially after he said he'd stay with her. ESPECIALLY, especially after she still wants to be with him after he left her the first time.
yeah that honestly destroyed me more than anything else in the story, they really needed each other at that time
Seiichi's mom just exacerbated her son's trauma as well as created a bunch more. I saw a similar story of Cold Case where a rich guy's son turned on his dad and revealed that he murdered that episode's main victim just because he was going to be the fall guy. The son, Tanner, he did murder someone, he did end up going into the jail cell next to his dad's.
Even Homelander would be intimidated by her.
This manga almost hit me as hard as Sundome. Some of the twists and psychological stuff hit me emotionally.
Makima has to be somewhat influenced by her, right? Controlling, calm & dangerous

I like psychopaths in my manga. since there very unpredictable and scary to witness making them very liking to have,with a love hate dynamic when they kill off one of the main characters. With some of the most outlandish takes but making you ask question are they wrong? Witch i like a book,comic, and manga to do, making me ask questions to my self.

The mother was creeping me out so much that I had to take a break & I haven't gone back to it since. The last thing I remember, she busted her son talking to a girl while in his bedroom. This series is so hard to fathom for someone as lucky as me (I love my mother, I hit the jackpot with my parents).
But that doesn't stop me from understanding just how insanely destroyed your life would be under a mother as evil as her...
