What a rare find Bill. Sliding shower doors that don’t have broken hardware. What a nightmare they are to find. Especially when the doors are 30 years old. 😅 Good vid Bill. Keep it up.
Cheers, Bill! Thanks for doing this video. As always, you make it look easy. I had to repair mine ages ago. My repair, however, wasn't a 10 minute video but an epic, all day saga. Including having to buy a pop rivet gun. Then next weekend, though, a mate came around and was showing off his trick makita pop riveter.... mind you, I do a pop rivet every 10 years, as opposed to the hundreds he does daily.

cheers Bill, i have done the top rollers before on my shower doors, bit I didn't even know about the plastic hook / runner on the bottom! Probably why my shower doors still flaps about like sheets in the breeze! 20 years old though - I suspect I might need to be pretty gentle with the plastic bits, they will be brittle!
I clean out all the tracks in our sliding windows and then sprayed them with WD Silicone to make them slide better. Worked well much like the doors of the shower I imagine.
I have pretty much the same shower screen, they work well when maintained properly, I just replaced the rollers on mine with ones from Bunnings. I'm missing a handle and the guide bits on the bottom though I'm still trying to find those.
If you send photos of the existing wheels, track, guides etc to Mr Windows they’ll be able to identify the brand of shower and hook you up with the correct replacement parts. With luck it’s a common Boral or Regency shower screen.
Thanks Bill. Great work. Shame your not downunder in Melb. Would give you a whole house to touch up. Moving out in a week or two to a brand new one by Metricon.
*Thanks* for the video Bill. I only have a question as to why the the scummy manufacturers don't use stainless steel screws? I would be more than willing to pay the extra $0.10 cost to have stainless screws included. I just recently found corroded screws in a bathroom and was fortunately able to remove them without shearing them off. The stainless ones cost less for a box of 100 stainless screws than Bunnings charges for for a packet of just *six* of the same item. Fortunately I found a wonderful company in Melbourne called the *Economy Bolt Company* and they have a *very* extensive range of regular and stainless fasteners. I am *not* affiliated with the company except as a happy and satisfied customer. They also have an online store. 👍

I definitely needed this
Great stuff thanks!!!!!
And cleaning all the grime out of the tracks & channels will assist the slide action and stop the rollers from clogging up.

Excellent 👍

Try Mrwindows.com.Au for window and shower parts👍👍👍

@robwilliams1870 it's an old Regency, I found the parts on their website. Thanks :)
Just one thing to add. While you had the top cap off give it a good clean. I could see mould on the top of it.
Thanks Bill. Great work. Shame your not downunder in Melb. Would give you a whole house to touch up.

Any way to get mould out of the inside of the glass where the pane has delaminated down the bottom? Cheers!
Unfortunately not 👍

Amal Azeim!
These types of shower doors can get...out of town.
I hate them so much. Last house i lived in had one. It fell off and hit my toe a few times 😡
When that happened did you call a _toe truck?_ 🤦♂
