Much love duncan, i love what ur friend said about finding your question. One of my favourite questions, what is the average persons true potential? Think about some high acheivers. Are these people even reaching their true potential? Maybe, maybe they are the greatest football player they could have been but i think you will always work harder when you see meaning in something, when you do it, not only for yourself but with the well-being of other people deeply touching your heart. So How much more did these people have in them that they could have given if they just had the right reason to give it? Im sure alot of incredible acheivers got to their level of prestige through a development in their personality that sparked a strong and verry often selfless? altruistic, desire, stemming from the psychedelic intuition of transcendental approach. So its really all about opening your heart up to the world and continuously mustering the strength to work harder for your own happiness and the wellbeing of humanity, particularly by looking deeper into this psychedelic stuff through the religious lense but youll also make it a long way just by becoming more conscious of a non religious perception of human potential. When you find your purpose, everything else will work its self out almost as a reward, youll love what you do, to the point that you don’t desire any pleasure outside of your work and you will reach a divine state of neuro chemical harmony. Youll love the people your surrounded by, people you met through your work and youll just be so full of love that you will see the point of life perfectly clearly. Itll be completely obvious to you how beautiful this life is meant to be and before you get sick of that, things will start getting WIERD. how good it will be when a world of prosperity start to sprout. The world that will eventually come is completely out of the available realm of imagination glimpsed even by the Psychonaut. Lol idk why my phone dosent think psychonaut is a word😮 you know how some people hate learning? Maybe ur supposed to enjoy learning but you dont have any joy left over in your brain TO learn; neurochemical tolerance. Our bodys make drugs that help us learn, everyone learns but most people learn a bunch of unrelated pointless shit, learning anything on top of that gaping pile of meaningless experience just isn’t possible, distractions to attack your neurochemistry… Dare i say meaning is a prerequisite for happiness and happiness exists on a spectrum of meaning?

What if people are so restless because they use modern (internet-)culture as a substitute for their research into the human condition (in as much of its multiplicity as possible) which they do not have the means for to experience more directly?

I mean to me “awakening” is a metaphorical term
It just means to become more conscious, more aware, or to enter a knew kind of consciousness/awareness
Its hard to explain, but you know you’ve awoken BECAUSE its hard to explain.
Its a metaphor. Being awake as opposed to being asleep. Could you imagine explaining to someone whose been in a coma their entire life what its like to live?
@@carissawood1854 Exactly. Kinda along those lines for me. I love Duncan, but there is a cottage industry around people vaguely throwing around the term “awakening” and kinda trying to develop a guru status around it lol. It’s a feeling and energy to the universe.

Without specifying an immortal being one is waking up to, the description gets ephemeral.
