This would be one of the reasons why I would not consider the Air Cross 2, because I want to use it with the half cage as well. Might want to try approaching Smallrig to see if it's possible to get a custom fitted plate to replace the original Moza piece, which did not allow taller setups. Nevertheless great value there!

Personally, I use the Moza Air 2. I have just bought the Moza AirCross 2. I have no problem using it with a cage or a grip. The center of gravity is higher, so you put on a counterweight, for example Smallrig, or any other weight, even for a test and it's good. At the beginning, I fastened what I had at hand and it has weight. Personally, I wanted to mount the camera on the Moza Air 2. There was a problem because the camera did not fit in the normal position. I attached the camera with a forward shift and counterbalanced the rear for balance. Problem solved. The same can be done with the Moza AIrCross 2. You can buy a SmallRig weight rail for the DJI Ronin-S 2308. You only need to sand the back and front about 1-2 mm. Buy 100 or 200g or even 50g counterweights. If you use a cage, you probably don't need to buy a brace. Counterweights are enough. They have a 1/4 inch thread to screw onto the cage and it's great. I installed such a larger camera for the Moza Air 2. Rail 2308 only fits Moza Air 2. You have to see if the SmallRig rail will fit from Ronin-SC because it is smaller.

Hello. Could pls help me with my problem: recently a bought this gimbal, and using it with my Sony a6400 + 16-50mm lens ( that’s is the whole set up). And from the beginning, my gimbal started shaking, and even autotune didn’t solve that problem. So I should manually change motor parameters, including motor - power up to 10/15/20, and motor - filter up to 30/10/8 And such parameter’s works well, but if I manually tilt my camera down, or trying to shoot low angles, it starts shaking again. And I need to change the motor’s parameters that work for a specific purpose. Does it mean that I can’t use these motors parameter’s for whole shooting angles and situations, and every time need to change them, depend’s on the angle I want to shoot? Is there any universal solution, or maybe motor parameters that work well in all situations? The same thing happens when I want to use my Sony flip screen - gimbal start’s shaking, but as far as I understood it because of dis-balancing? And one more thing - every time I’m using inception mode ( with different motor’s parameters), and put the gimbal in a «flashlight position» while the gimbal rolling, I can feel kind of light pulls or pushes that comes from the motors, for a full 360-degree roll it’s like 2 pushes. So footage comes not super smooth and you can see these pushes on the video. If I hold my gimbal vertically with the camera looking up, there is no such problem. Is that a normal reaction of my gimbal in the inception mode, or it is because my camera is very light? Thank you
Hi Chris, I was watching your video on the moza aircross 2 and I had a question about it being able to control the iris in addition to the Focus. I have an alpha a6500 with an 18-105mm lens and together they weigh 931G (2.052504 lb)
I bought the Weebill S, I am looking to return it because the pan/tilt follow mode is inconsistent. It doesn't do both at the same time very well, only one or the other. (Imagine circling a pole while keeping the pole in the center of the frame, while panning from the bottom to the top of the pole.) I've used the Moza Air for 2 years now and loved it, but it started going downhill once I bought a heavier camera (upgraded from the a6500 to the a7iii). How does the aircross 2 and the air 2 do with this?
i think for balancing your cage or battery grip, you may use an additional weight screwed to bottom of the gimbal plate.... it will bring the COG down :-)

Air 2 can handle pretty substantial load, including heavier lenses, ifocus, and phone on top for object tracking. Really solid. Aircorss 2 is fine with Z6, f1.8 primes, and smaller kit zooms. Ifocus maybe if you are using really light lenses. Forget about phone on top unless you are using a really light camera and really light lenses, and even then its iffy. But, you can link with Slypod for 6 degress of motion control. Air 2 cant. Air 2 is really heavy and big. Aircross 2 is rather light and compact. I like them both, but neither is best.
