- This week I present to you the FAST Autobahn acceleration test of the all new 2014/2015 Audi TT Coupe S-Line with the deep sounding 2.0 TFSI quattro delivering 230 hp and 370 Nm of torque. As the car had only 300 km on the clock I did not give it the full rpm and made sure that I had it warmed up and cooled down properly when I did this test. Therefore the 20 sec. to 200 km/h are even more impressive considering that the electronic holds back the last 10% of the power within the first 5.000 km or so. Power delivery over all was very good and the cabin is very luxurious. Only the ride comfort with S-Line suspension and 19 inch probably would be that tiny bit to firm for me so that I would definitely recommend to go for the magnetic ride option. As I also switched between Comfort and Dynamic mode quite a bit there was a noticeable difference especially in the in-cab sound. To my knowledge the exhaust system itself does not have a switch to open the valves ("Klappenauspuff"), but if you have other information please post them here. Yeah, but as always, VW group is underestimating its power outputs. This thing is probably around 250 -260 ps.

Freu mich wahnsinnig auf den Audi TT Roadster im kommenden Frühling, da kommt der tolle Sound noch besser zur Geltung. Ich finde die 230 PS reichen beim TT locker aus und richtig viel Spaß zu haben. Ob ich mit den digitalen Anzeigen so glücklich werde muss ich erstmal sehen. Ein bisschen schade für die Person auf dem Beifahrersitz, die gar keinen Bildschirm "zum spielen" zu Gesicht bekommt.
The owner's manual says do not revv the car to more than 2/3 of 8000 rpm until the car has about 1500 km ...

+Klemen Levstik .yep when you buy a new car, not important if manual or automatic, you have to care about many many, i mean REALLY MANY things if you want keep this car alive a really long time!! you have to do so much things until 2000km, if you want no repair until 200.000 km, you have to do this shit!
You know what, I don't really believe in it. Many motorcycle and premium car manufactures do Dyno tests on out going cars right off the assembly line to ensure the customer is getting the performance they're paying for. Brands like KTM, Kawasaki, Lamborgini and Nissan (GTR) just to name the ones I know of doing this.
Whats really important is to do regular oil changes and actual use of the vehical and not just 2 minute trips to the corner store.
Take taxi's for example, the cars are driven by people who don't care, almost never have a cold engine and they get regular oil changes. Yet its not uncommon to see taxi cabs with 600,000+km on the odometer and still on the road.
But this is just the driver not the owner so the manual doesn't apply to him :-)

Well, every modern car nowadays has special software settings in the motor management that assist the "breaking in process". Like I have experienced this in many new Cars (mainly vw and audi) you can feel that the gear changes are a bit earlier and the engine does not have the final punch. When the engine has 100% of the power is of course dependend of the driving style, but usually 5.000 km is enough, Diesels sometimes even taking 10.000 km and more.

Have you droven the TTs aswell?
If so, how bid diffrense is it between the two modells in case of speed and accelaration

i must say, this is a better car than the rcz r
because this is only a base model (ok it have 4wd and s-tronic) but it´s still a base model, that just means the following, audi can make a car equal to others "radical" or "extreme" (like the rcz r or megane rs) or something like that with a base model
this just proves how audi is big and how good they are xD
if they made a 6-speed manual with the 4wd in the normal tt, i have that felling that it would be the most sold tt

Meine Mutter hatte den heute zur Probefahrt und ich war enttäuscht... kaum schneller als mein "gemachter" 20 Jahre alter e36 Compact, erst bei 200 merkt man die Leistung. Das war ein No-Go für sie. Allrad schluckt eben viel weg, außer vom Stand.

Jozef Hrušecký It's maybe not as quiet as a A6, but dependend on the tire size its still very good for its class.
Automann-TV Thanks for quick reply. For its class you say, so when compared to some HB like Golf, A3 etc. is it equivalent or better? I'm asking as this is one aspect of TT that reviews are not clear. For some it's very quite, for others it's very noisy.
I think that greatly depends in the size an make of the tires. From the noise-level its comparable to the A3.

ridgero Es ist nicht ganz der selbe Motor :) der im GTI verfügt über einen anderen Drehmomentverlauf und er verbraucht auch weniger. Man findet denselben 230 PS TFSI im TT und im S1.

Это Gen3 мотор, здесь меньше 310 после хорошего чипа не будет, думаю на чипе из 4 сек с Launch контроля выехать сможет.
