The difference is All in the Family was written by white people for white people. Soul Plane was written by white people for black people and those white people made sure to throw every negative stereotype about black people into that movie they could get away with.
"Soul Plane" wasn't a horrible movie, but when people of my generation compared it to the 1980 cult classic "Airplane!" The expectations were naturally high, and thus pale in comparison for us. Just like the 2005 version of "The Longest Mile," (Chris Rock co-starred) when it's compared to the original 1974 version it didn't live up to the standard. Remakes done just for a money grab are likely to suck, if it's made with high regards for the original it could become a second classic of the original. For example, "Scarface" the 1932 and 1983 were both great!

She should take pride in her work. It doesn't matter that she did not graduate from a big theatrical Academy or have a Degree in Drama from Yale or anything like that. Most Hollywood actors don't. In fact, most don't have a college degree from anywhere. Most of what happens in the past was a person had a certain look or presence. If they could memorize lines and emote, they had a chance. It also helps if you have connections. Today, it's all about the Hollywood agenda and political correctness. You have to play that game with the wokeness bullshit even if you have talent. People like Mickey Rourke refused to play the game. He's a great actor but he was never a flunky for the Hollywood Jews. This woman has beauty and is no different than Halle Berry, who is no great actress. She just needs to hone her skills, get the right role , and get a break. A good film with a good supporting cast. At this point, there is no need to do ghetto films. However, if she's just having fun and doesn't care about the outcome then it's her choice.

"Soul Plane" wasn't a horrible movie, but when people of my generation compared it to the 1980 cult classic "Airplane!" The expectations were naturally high, and thus pale in comparison for us. Just like the 2005 version of "The Longest Mile," (Chris Rock co-starred) when it's compared to the original 1974 version it didn't live up to the standard. Remakes done just for a money grab are likely to suck, if it's made with high regards for the original it could become a second classic of the original. For example, "Scarface" the 1932 and 1983 were both great!

She should take pride in her work. It doesn't matter that she did not graduate from a big theatrical Academy or have a Degree in Drama from Yale or anything like that. Most Hollywood actors don't. In fact, most don't have a college degree from anywhere. Most of what happens in the past was a person had a certain look or presence. If they could memorize lines and emote, they had a chance. It also helps if you have connections. Today, it's all about the Hollywood agenda and political correctness. You have to play that game with the wokeness bullshit even if you have talent. People like Mickey Rourke refused to play the game. He's a great actor but he was never a flunky for the Hollywood Jews. This woman has beauty and is no different than Halle Berry, who is no great actress. She just needs to hone her skills, get the right role , and get a break. A good film with a good supporting cast. At this point, there is no need to do ghetto films. However, if she's just having fun and doesn't care about the outcome then it's her choice.
