I found this video looking for a way to take the warning sticker off my KitchenAid Artisan mixer and it worked like a dream. It looks gorgeous from all angles now. Thanks!
Could've used this tip a week ago, Ari. =) Otherwise, excellent tips and I used them successfully. Something else for those who are about to try this, keep a bottle of rubbing alcohol handy. The glue on my FZ07 didn't wanna go away, even after multiple applications of WD40. It left these invisible glue strips that as you ride, attracts and accumulates dust onto it turning it dark so you get this blackish smudge. One wipe down with rubbing alcohol and bye bye glue goo.
I’m happy to say the 2022’s didn’t come with any of the “notice” or “warning” stickers. I have a 2022 650 and none of these are on it. However it does say in the owners manual DO NOT drink antifreeze coolant.

Funny. Just searched for "removing warning stickers motorcycle" and this popped up. I just bought a 2020 Aprlia Tuono Factory 1100. Italians LOVE warning stickers! Thanks for the vid!
I carefully removed my warning labels and slapped them underneath the seat and inside the top case, I didn't throw them away. Since the plastic is new, it's clean and adhesive from the labels has no trouble sticking properly and they're out of sight so the bike instantly looks better. I didn't remove the VIN label located on the frame, but I did try removing the noise level compliance label from the swingarm (one of three labels on it; the other two being chain slack & tire pressure labels) and simply couldn't. It's not a regular sticker, it's a fragile one-time sticker covered with protective foil so I removed the foil and realized I'd have to destroy the last label in order to take it off, I couldn't peel it off in one piece so I left it there. I may go back to it with a hair dryer though, just to see if it's possible. Thanks for the tip. ;)
An automotive bug and tar remover like the ones from Turtle Wax or Meguiars is also a safe solvent for removing any left over sticker gum from the paint.
I tried this heat gun thing, but the stickers bubbled up with the paint. So, I used a hammer to pound the paint bubbles back down. That didn't work really well, so I whipped out my angle grinder, and smoothed the area out somewhat. It still didn't look good, so I covered the area up with some duct tape.
Hi Chris, considering the fact that my "Mothertongue" is Swiss my reply to You was rather good. And of course You have figured out just what I wanted to say. "Patience"! Patience is a virtue! Have a GR8 day Chris. Regards from Africa.

Just bought Yamaha chrome engine guards that came with a warning label. I watched this video plus several others. Don't know what Yamaha uses for adhesive, but none of the tips worked. Had to use a razor blade. "Goo Gone" worked great to get rid of the sticky residue.
Hey Ari, I did just like you showed me in the video. It worked quite well, but I can still see and feel that there's just a tiny bit left after my best effort of removing it. Do you have a great tip?
I have a bit of a challenge removing the warning sticker from my R750’s tank. It’s very beat up after some odd 20 years. I live in a highrise, where I have no access to a hairdryer or any other electric device or heating tool. Is there a way to remove stickers without heating them up? Some type of chemical that can dissolve the sticker without harming the paint? Goo Gone? WD-40? Any ideas? Much obliged!
I know this is an old video, but I have a 2022 and the stickers were placed on black plastic. Will wd40 work on plastic as well or will it leave a marks?
Lighter fluid, Goo Gone, and WD-40 were all a fail at removing the sticker residue from my 2022 Tenere 700. Goof Off was the solution. It immediately removed the adhesive without any damage to the paint.
One issue you didn't cover: labels on metal parts like the swing arm. The metal wicks heat away from the label quickly and makes removal a chore. I've owned 2 RSV4s and encountered this both times. Any tips?
Hey MC Garage, I just noticed with my bike that my overflow tube that's connected to the carburetor got burned. I think it's touching the exhaust tube. Should I be worried?
I just took my swing arm sticker off and it was a pain in the butt. Took like an hour. It only scratches it only in one little spot and you can only see it in full sun light. I took all my stickers off and laminated them so I could save them. Only one of the swing arm sticker ripped. Luckily before a took it off I took a picture of it and I printed it out and saved it. Looks much better with them removed.
I don't even notice the one on my bike, my other bike, I think the previous owner removed it, well I'm probably positive that it's not there? Not sure hehehe However, three stickers on the Aprilia? That indeed needs to go! I might remove mine if I started to notice it more because of this video though.
I'm literally trying to remove the same exact decals on my Tuono, haha. The one's on plastic come off easy, the one's on painted metal, not so much. And what's with the damn decal on the INSIDE of the windscreen?!! Do we have to remove it to get to it?
I know on Ducatis, if you're having warranty work done and Ducati asks the dealer for photo evidence and the stickers aren't there, they can deny the repair. I don't know this empirically, I was just told. Anyway, the tech told me if I'm going to remove them, get them off in one piece and hang on to them just in case.
Yeah...The after market stuff would be a definite, for removal. The originals i'll always leave on. My bike, now, is the only one that's actually come with the warning, and fuel stickers still on. It's only just had its first service, and i'm stoked. It's got GYTR slip ons, but that's all. There's just something, for me, about it being genuine. Maybe a quick shifter, and some short levers (only because the originals won't allow much change in angle), and that'll be it. I'm pragmatic, also....but it's because the bike is beyond my skill level, these days, not because I want to keep it's resale value high. Why would I bother with a remap, and the likes, if I can't get the thing past 11,000 revs? 2013 R1, in case you're wondering.......
Marty Smith i live in england and a new bike always needs a re map to make it run to its full smooth potential, some bike are worse than others (MV Augusta is almost un ridable in town) but because of European emmissions regulation manufacturers are having to make the bike run lean in areas of the emissions test so your power and torque curves dip and rise (not fun on a 190bhp bike) so usually another map is put in to correct the fuelling so a 2 constant curves on that dyno. map changes can make a huge difference in your bikes overall ride and power... not bad in the time it takes to drink some tea.
When they are baked on for a long time, they get real nasty to remove! I really have had good look with Goo-B-Gone, that is brilliant after heat gun and scraper, I'm still not used to seeing no Dreadlocks though!
Remove left-over glue on the bike from the stickers with the sticky side of scotch tape. You might need a couple of short length of tape and a little patients. It never fails.
Before I saw this video I successfully removed my stickers using the hairdryer/wd-40 method - however the "emissions" sticker is GALVANIZED to my swing arm...Ive got it half scraped off and want it gone...but why in the video above does it say we don't want that one removed???? Also I put all the removed stickers in the cover of my owners manual. :)
