Thank you so very much for sharing this information with us.
I just started canning 2 weeks ago and canned my 3rd batch of vegetables yesterday. I have lost a lot of liquid in almost every thing I canned. I have only “finger” tightened the lids 🙄. Now I have to empty the jars, I did last night, and start over.

Do you have videos instruction on canning meats? Great info “palatably presented” . (👌🏽)

Thank you. Canned first batch of green beans this year. Did some refresher googling, thought I was ready to rock. Internet said pour boiling water in jars. Also said let cool 10 minutes before starting to release pressure.
First round, let rest 10, yadda yadda and jars were boiling when I took lid off. One out of 5 lost water.
Round two, same strategy, but thought let stand too long with pressure. So I started trickling hot water on lid to slowly cool so could release pressure. Ahhh. All 5 lost almost half of water. So, I'll be doing more research, and ask mom tomorrow what I did wrong. Lol
Thank God I still have my mother to ask for help. 😂

Thanks for this video, it is very logical. The only problem I have is I never put boiling water in my jars I have a digital canner and it heats everything for me. I will tighten the jars more that is also a good thing to check. I mean really, what is finger tight?

Thankyou. That is valuable info. Now I will do my hot water different. And screw the bands on a little tighter. I am a beginner at canning. I need all the info i can get. Thank You.
