Really interesting that you disliked the Paula’s Choice electrolyte moisturiser due to the dimethicone in it but you still like Cerave moisturisers. I personally can’t use moisturisers with dimethicone in it (my skin refuses to absorb it, eventually clogging pores and causing whiteheads) but that actually means I can’t use any Cerave moisturisers, as they all contain dimethicone. Do you think in your case if was the percentage of dimethicone that made the difference in this case or perhaps the fact the electrolyte one just failed to be as moisturising? For me Paula’s omega moisturiser is the only one of her moisturisers I can actually use, but I’d agree it just isn’t really hydrating enough, despite being marketed as being for dry skin. I love Paula’s exfoliants, boosters and a few of her cleansers but I feel like moisturisers are her brand’s worst products, especially for anyone with skin that disagrees with silicones.

I agree re. Silicones. Unfortunately a lot of PC oily skin moisturisers have them. I’ve finally settled on the paulas choice clear that is a light lotion and NO silicone afaia
I have the Omega Complex moisturizer. I like it enough, it’s great for nighttime. I hear you about how it seems to stay on the top of your skin, like a coating. I think this is why I’m having a little trouble with it under makeup….which is what I bought it for. I wish I’d bought the serum instead.
