My favorites are the Resist Optimal Hydrating Cleanser, Resist Advanced Replenishing Toner, 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, Lip Sunscreen, Peptide Booster and 2% BHA Body Treatment. Before I bumped up to Tretinoin 3x a week, I used the Clinical 1% Retinol which is a very nice product.

Paula’s Choice is a good brand. I use the Hydralight cleanser, which is a non-foaming gel cleanser and the 2% BHA gel exfoliant. Two underrated but amazing products.
Does the bha 2% exfoliant actually makes ur skin peel like to the point ur peeling skin off ur face because on the bottle it says chemical peel or is it like a toner
When you said that previously you didn't like BHAs because they seemed to cause irritation I really found myself there. I just have started the 2% BHA about a week ago and so far I can tolerate it twice a week with no issues and hopefully my acne clears up soon. Thank you so much for the overview!

I’ve been interested in Paula’s Choice for so long, but the range of products is overwhelming to me. I’ve never known where to start or what would work best for me. Thank you so much for this guide, it’s very helpful!!!
I was overwhelmed too when I started browsing Paula's Choice, over a decade ago. They offer sample or travel sizes on most products and have superb customer service if you have issues or want to return stuff. They also give good advice on their products, if you call. I ordered samples originally of a ton of products and whenever I found one I loved I'd order the full size.
Long time follower here. Caught myself watching your videos almost all day. Some vids I have even watched a couple of times already. Ended up buying Vit C and Niacinamide of Paula’s Choice. Leveling up my skin care routine this year. :)
Paulas Choice products literally transformed my aging skin. Since using it, I've had so many compliments on my skin. I'll be 50 this year and you wouldn't know it thanks to PC!
FINALLY (!!) I understand what Paula’s Choice is all about. I’ve almost pulled the ‘buy trigger’ numerous times, only to stop because I was confused about what to use when and if I could incorporate with other products. You’ve cleared up everything today. Thank you! And with your discount code I fee ready to try out a couple of the products I feel will work for me. I trust you implicitly and am grateful. If you use/recommend, I feel comfortable. OMG thank you so much! 😍 I looked up the website yesterday for the first time and was so overwelmed by the variety of products! Now watching your video I know that will suit my skin 😊 By the way: Your skin looks amazing! 😚
In Australia, the Youth Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF is only an SPF of 15! I know we have very strict SPF regulations here, but that's a big difference. I love so many PC products, they just work! Great summary!
My Choice products: BHA body moisturiser (great for scabby knees) the vitamin C booster which seems to work wonders for my facial hair area ( yeah we blokes love our skincare as well) . The clear sunscreen SFP 30 is my go to as I'm rather melanin rich. *This brand I found via your reviews and I have not looked back.* Thank you for your clear and informative reviews. Oh and they do ship to the EU!!
I've just now started looking into PC's products. I've been reading her website for years, as well as Beautypedia, and love the ingredient encyclopedia on the PC website. I just thought her products were too expensive...but boy have I been proven wrong. I just got my first shipment of her products in...mostly stuff that was on sale (the PC site is having a huge sale right now), and what I've gotten I just love. And all of the products I bought you mentioned here (2 of the serums you mentioned). I figured, if I want something good from them, I might as well buy a serum, and then they threw in the vitamin C booster you also mentioned here. As you were mentioning moisturizers, I popped over and bought two of the Omega + moisturizers, as they are on sale. I have been looking for just such a moisturizer: one that had cholesterol, fatty acids, and ceramides. For me, that is the foundation of any good moisturizer, and I'm very grateful you pointed that moisturizer out. Thank you! I think I'm finally narrowing down my routine to the best products out there that work for me and my wallet. Thanks again!
Wonderful! So glad you found products that are working for you! I agree, if you're going to try PC, start with the serums/actives, they do those extraordinarly well!
Love this review!! I tried to find a complete review on Paula’s choice products because they all seemed to be good pick and doing many benefits, but I can hardly find a helpful guide on UA-cam and I can’t differentiate which one actually suits me. So this video is really helpful thanks so much, watched the whole thing. I’ve been using Paula choice for a month, I used the calm toner, moisturiser, and the skin perfecting Exfoliants. (I blind picked all of these becoz as I said I don’t know which product suits me) It started out as seemingly nothing special, the effect is just moisturising, but after days, it cleared out my skin for 60% I would say, and I never felt so good!! Gonna invest more in this brand, it is so underrated!
So,you LOVE all of these products. Do you use most of these each day? How is one to choose which items go best with which others? This is very confusing because of the vast number of slightly differing products. Oh my, I will have to listen to this quite a few times to attempt to sort this out. Your explanations of each product are wonderful. It would be helpful if you listed the products YOU use together and daily.
they have excellent CS reps who seem to be very well trained in every product so i would call n tell them your skin type n concerns n they can suggest...they have never given me bad advice
Joan Polakoff you need to know your skin type and condition and then look at her recommendations. Why do you need to know what she uses daily unless you have the same exact skin type as her? I believe she has a separate video for her typical day and night time routine btw.
@@lec8504 most people follow folks who have the same skin type. I have her skin type and would have appreciated the same information. I actually buy/follow a lot of what she does/suggests. I don't think OP request was out of this world... Renee does have a day and night routine but many of these products are not in it. In fact I believe she only speaks of two and I remember since I wanted to buy the cleanser at her recommendation.
Joan Polakoff - I've been using Paula's Choice products for almost 20 years. First you have to determine your skin type, and then go from there. My skin type is Normal Sensitive (slightly oily t-zone). When I first started using the product line, it was much more basic, so it was easier to choose products. Now, the line is quite extensive, so it can be overwhelming. Take some time to read about the different products, and think about what you'd like to try. That's what I did! One of the first products I tried were the cleansers. I purchased one for normal to oily skin and one for normal to dry skin because I couldn't decide! I found out, by trial, that the cleansers for oily skin were too drying for my skin type because I'm not oily enough! One of my most favourite products is the MOISTURE BOOST CLEANSER. It is the BEST cleanser I have ever used! I don't know what I'd do if it was every discontinued!! I like a cleanser that is gentle and rinses clean leaving no residue, and this one is perfection. I've tried many other cleansers, but NONE compare to this one. Another favourite product is the Hydralight All Mineral sunscreen SPF 30. Paula's Choice has some amazing products. You just have to try some, and see what works for you! Don't be afraid to mix and match from the different lines. Some serums have retinol and some don't. Choose to suit your needs. Consult with customer service if you need help, and if one product doesn't work for you, try a different one. I think I've pretty much tried everything in the product line, suitable for my skin type, and that's how I've found some great products, many of which I continue to re-purchase over and over. From personal experience, I can't say enough good things about Paula's Choice. It's a line definitely worth trying. Good luck!!
Cleansers, toners, moisturizers, sunscreens can be used daily. Actives are individual, some people can use them daily and staggered while others can only tolerate one at a time, once a week. I have videos on how I build my routine. I generally separate my actives for daytime and nightime. Vitamin C and other anti-oxidant serums for day, other exfoliating acids/retinoids at night. These are products I would recommend that I've tried since a decade ago like the 2% bha which isn't currently in my routine because I'm focused on others like retinol. Skincare isn't simple because our skin can be complicated or not if you're lucky! I would start out with whichever product resonates with your needs. Because you dont' need everything at 1 given time.
I just ordered a load of Paula's Choice skincare products ystrd. I Love PC. Thank you for doing such an informative video on PC. I really enjoyed learning about some of the PC skincare products that I haven't tried yet. Great video! ❤
Thank you Renée! I'm a new user of Paula's choice and so far so good! Bought a sun set and the intense repair cream plus the azelaic acid booster. It's really helping after a period of really sensitive skin with lot of redness
Hiii Renee! ♡ please, make a new video about the best 10 sunscreens! Specially, mixed physical and chemical ones ♡ you are the one I trust the most ♡♡♡
Great video , good information . Always appreciate your knowledge and wisdom . Btw my favorite product is the new Clinical Ceramide eye cream and the Radiance Renewal Mask . Both are magic .
I’ve been using Paula's Choice since the early 2000s. I sometimes try other lines but none of them touch PC. I wish the price point were a hair lower, but hey, you get what you pay for. My favorite product is the Resist Daily Pore Refining 2% BHA. Great for aging skin.
The BHA Liquid Exfoliant saved my skin. It's my HG. My perfect skin decided to freak out on me in my early 20s and it made so depressed that I didn't want to go out. Now, it's almost back to normal. It definitely takes time getting used to. It purged my skin and made it a little worse for months, little whiteheads everywhere. Then, one day my skin just cleared. Chemical exfoliants are not a big part of Korean skincare, so I was so scared of using it at first. But it saved my skin. For the first year, I probably used it every other night. Now, I use it once a week to maintain my skin. Highly, highly recommend for everyone because you never know when your skin will decide to break out one day.
Loved this! I’ve been looking to move into retinol, so I appreciate the advice on the Azelaic acid prior to for sensitive types. I’ve used the Replenishing Toner for years and love it for my dry, dehydrated skin. Great lightweight moisturizer in summer! I started the niacinimide booster two months ago and am amazed at the results with overall tone and my pores. Love this brand!
been using paulas choice for years, i love the 2% bha, i use it 2-3 times a week instead of twice a day like most people do and it keeps my skin clear and soft
I first bought 2% BHA 3 years ago and never looked back, I’m on my third bottle. It changed my skin and I will forever keep this in my medicine cabinet. This year I’m trying the C15 super booster to incorporate vitamin c into my skincare. I really want to try everything!
Thank you for this! I love PC products but I honestly get lost in the products sometimes. Especially the Boosters. I woud love if you would do a video about how to use the Boosters - for instance how much, alone or cocktailed with other stuff, etc, even if it includes other brands. LOVE your vids - thanks for what you do. Your channel is informative and lovely.
Haha at first I thought: Oh no, I already bought a bunch of their products during their sale this past week, I wish I could have seen this video first. Then I realized I already had looked through your previous videos specifically to find which products you liked from them, so I've already got the products you highly recommended😂
Thanks so much for this great overview - I've been looking to try Paula's Choice for a while but yet to find someone with a similar skin type to myself do an overview. Placing my first order now!
Hi Renee, thanks for such a detailed and informative video about Paula’s choose! Love it! Btw, is it possible you can make a video talking about how we can use these products into out skin care routine? I wanna try them ALL because you always recommend good products, but not sure how to put them into the daily/weekly skin care routine... thank you 💕
Thanks so much for this! Loving this brand so much. I’ve recently started using the 1% retinol treatment cream three times a week - I’d only ever tried The Ordinary’s one before and I’ve been absolutely fine with the PC one. Very happy especially as my skin can be very sensitive.
Rena Martin The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid Emulsion is like a milky serum. PC one is more like a light cream - slightly tacky but absorbs very quickly into skin. It does have a stronger smell which does dissipate quickly. I have had no irritation from either. I feel results have been faster and more dramatic with PC. PC has significantly higher price point than TO, but so far I feel it’s definitely worth it.
Kirsten Jewitt cool, thanks for your reply! I am using TO Granactive Emulsion right now, three times per week. I have been using it about a month. I am trying to decide whether I want to buy TO 1% Retinol next or the PC one. I also need to figure out the difference between the PC 1% Retinol treatment and the PC 1% Retinol booster.
Thanks for responding! I saw that the booster is more light and serum-like in the video while the Clinical Retinol treatment is more of a Cream. So I gathered that the booster is better for those oily skin while the treatment is better for those with dry skin. Does that sound correct? I just wondered if there were other soothing/better ingredients in the treatment vs. the booster. I have been trying to compare the ingredients lists, but they are quite long and it’s like reading a foreign language. Lol!
Hi Renee , any thing you recommend from Paula’s choice for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation , I need a cleanser , moisturiser and something to get rid of the dark post inflammatory hyperpigmentation!
Thanks for the review :) I appreciate your videos so much 😍 I’ve been using pc since December. I’m suffering from eczema and desert dry skin, no joke, my skin is like sand. The clinical ceramide moisturizer is my holy grail!
Love your videos, so informative especially when you don't know what to get from a line. May you please another drugstore favorites of skincare please.
Call their customer service!! They will give you advice on what to try based on your skin type and needs. Go to the website and read about the different products. Ask questions if you need more information. Don't be afraid to mix and match from the different lines. They have many different cleansers, serums, sunscreens, etc. If you try something, and it doesn't work for you, try something else! That's how I found my favourite cleanser....Moisture Boost! I've been using PC for many years! It's an excellent product line. Try a few products and go from there!

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to thoroughly review and clarify this increasingly complex line. I've been a fan of Paula's no-nonsense advice for about 30 years. they have it online now...it's called beautypedia they update with new products all the time...i never buy anything w/o consulting that
Yes! I owned "Don't shop for hair products without me"
Carly H totally ! I had the book over 20 years ago in my early 30's and it taught me so much , love all the reviews in it , I want the updated one
I used to go the bookstore and read it then go next door to the beauty store lol
This is the most informative video ever. Thank you so much Renee! You’ve sold me with your positive reviews on the products and I’m definitely going to pick up some products for my dehydrated skin!! Keep up the amazing videos we really appreciate your feedback on skincare ❤️
Thank you, this means so much to me
I’ve been interested in Paula’s Choice for so long, but the range of products is overwhelming to me. I’ve never known where to start or what would work best for me. Thank you so much for this guide, it’s very helpful!!!
Paulas choice is the TRUTH! So underrated. Thank you for making this video!! I love this brand
Thank you for watching!!
Thank you for this :) I've never known a lot about Paula's choice as I've always found it quite intimidating with all the possible choices.
Hi Renee! Could you please do a video about your french pharmacy favourites? Brands like Avene, SVR, La Roche Posay, Bioderma, Nuxe, etc.
Second this!!
Yes please
Yes third! I like some of Nuxe and LRP and Uriage products so I would love to hear more of these brands from Renee herself.
Yes fourth! Uriage is such an underrated brand I think!
YES!!
Off I go to spend some $, but now wisely! 💗🌻Ann
Haha thank you so much Ann for trusting me so much! What you described is exactly where I've been in the past with PC!
Managed to drop $100 but excited to begin w/ my Paula’s Choice products. Feel confident thanks to this video 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼⭐️
I love PC products. I have sensitive skin and for the moment I use Calm Mineral mosturiser spf 30 against Uva/uvb and Omega 3 complex. ❤🙂
Hi renee! Pls review DERMALOGICA. Love your channel and all your knowledge. Xoxo
Excellent video! Paulas choice skin care is very broad, and you’re right a lot of people get confused, you broke it down beautifully! Thank you 💕
What a great, in-depth review. thank you for all that you do!!!
So happy to hear about your amazing results Fiona! I agree, too underrated!
This video was amazing. So informative & thank you for getting all those products.
Will be referring back to this constantly! Thankyou!
I just ordered a load of Paula's Choice skincare products ystrd. I Love PC. Thank you for doing such an informative video on PC. I really enjoyed learning about some of the PC skincare products that I haven't tried yet. Great video! ❤
Love this brand!!! 😍🥰😍 Thank you for this review.
Thank you Renée! I'm a new user of Paula's choice and so far so good!
Bought a sun set and the intense repair cream plus the azelaic acid booster. It's really helping after a period of really sensitive skin with lot of redness
Happy to hear that!
I loved this video. I really appreciated watching the different textures on the hand. Tkank you!
Hiii Renee! ♡ please, make a new video about the best 10 sunscreens! Specially, mixed physical and chemical ones ♡ you are the one I trust the most ♡♡♡
Thanks so much, Renee! What a great “rundown” of products. You did a fantastic job, as always! Hugs, Mary 😍🤗
Big hugs to you Mary!
Great video , good information . Always appreciate your knowledge and wisdom . Btw my favorite product is the new Clinical Ceramide eye cream and the Radiance Renewal Mask . Both are magic .
Thank you so much. The radiance renewal mask is definitely interesting! Haven't used it enough yet but loads of people seem to love it!
That's so good to hear about that mask! I just ordered it this week with high hopes.
This is so helpful. I've just gotten interested in checking out PC but there's so much to choose from its hard to know where to start! Thank you!
I’ve been using Paula's Choice since the early 2000s. I sometimes try other lines but none of them touch PC. I wish the price point were a hair lower, but hey, you get what you pay for. My favorite product is the Resist Daily Pore Refining 2% BHA. Great for aging skin.
Yesssss!!! I’ve been so excited for this video!! Thank you so much 😊
Shot every time Renee says Hydrating!!!! 🥃 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃 you’ll need about 6 bottles so leave that liquor cabinet open y’all! 😘🥰 love you so much Renee!
Too true, it she did an amazing job of describing the hydrating differences each product had. Quite impressed!
Also you mentioned that some Niacinamides have caused you dryness, I think that’s what happened to me with the ordinary Niacinamide!
You have beautiful and glowing skin...you are beautiful lady and full of know about skin care...Good luck you are teaching us properly
Thank you for another great video and the discount code! Can't wait to try some of your product recommendations!
So needed this, I've been racking my brain on what it all does and means for my skin. Thank you!!
Oooooo I love Paula’s choice!
Haha at first I thought: Oh no, I already bought a bunch of their products during their sale this past week, I wish I could have seen this video first. Then I realized I already had looked through your previous videos specifically to find which products you liked from them, so I've already got the products you highly recommended😂
This made me smile! 💜💜💜
I need this video!! Been using the 2% BHA forever, they have so many products over time and got overwhelmed. Ty💕💕
I wanna try them ALL because you always recommend good products, but not sure how to put them into the daily/weekly skin care routine... thank you 💕
Hi Renee, good to see you 😍 Thanks for the review.
Been using her line since it inception.A game changer!!
Hey Renee. Thanks for doing this video. I've so wanted to explore the brand but was totally lost. Now I know where to start.
Thanks so much for this vid ! Super informative . It’s my first time watching and definitely subscribing !
Thanks so much for this! Loving this brand so much. I’ve recently started using the 1% retinol treatment cream three times a week - I’d only ever tried The Ordinary’s one before and I’ve been absolutely fine with the PC one. Very happy especially as my skin can be very sensitive.
Kirsten Jewitt how does the PC one compare to the ordinary one?
I compare them in the video
I swear by Paula’s spf 50s and her body butter is great for itchy skin. I use the pc 4 men body wash on my hair and body.
I have been using Paula's choice for the last 12 years, Looooooove it🥰🥰
I appreciate your video, this means I made a great choice. Thank you🥰❤
Thanks for the review :) I appreciate your videos so much 😍 I’ve been using pc since December. I’m suffering from eczema and desert dry skin, no joke, my skin is like sand. The clinical ceramide moisturizer is my holy grail!
so happy to hear that!
So much information. Might have to watch the video twice :)
I love Paula’s choice. Potent ingredients and good value.
Love your videos, so informative especially when you don't know what to get from a line. May you please another drugstore favorites of skincare please.
Thanks Renee! Now I can order the right PC products for my skin!
Thanks! I will definitely call!
Nice video! I like that she is detailed and to the point!! Thank you!
Very helpful video! Always wanted to look into this brand, but didn’t know where to start. Thank you 😊
I truly love Paula's Choice 💛 they have saved my skin. Thank you for this video. Now I love you even more 😍 BTW you look really pretty, love your hair!!
Wow thank you - it’s a tough battle against 99% humidity! 💜💜💜
@@gothamista 🌡☀️💧 well you look amazing no matter what 😍
Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge with us!!
Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to thoroughly review and clarify this increasingly complex line. I've been a fan of Paula's no-nonsense advice for about 30 years. While I do use some of her products (I particularly love her BHA products), I find her line gets more complicated every year. Thanks for breaking it down into useful groupings and giving us some advice on how to incorporate some of the more specialized products into our routine.
I love love love your videos!🥰🙌🏼 Would love to hear an updated version of your Paulas Choice products❤️❤️❤️
I’m so glad you did this! I’ve been looking into this brand and feel better about buying it now.
