The Saints ''Know Your Product'' is the first rock/punk track from 1978 that introduced horns. Painters & Dockers was named after a workers Union that was very hardline and militant (often using violence and other such tactics to force an issue they wanted resolved in their workplace and members favour). So naturally the band was always high energy and their concerts were full on.
The P&D's are my favorite band of all time... I first saw them in 1984 (or there about's) support Midnight Oil. For me, "they stole the show"!) DOCK ON PAULIE xoxo
I first saw them with the Oils too. '84 you reckon? I was trying to remember when it was. '84 would be about right, I was around 15 give or take. They played at the Portarlington reserve when I saw them.
Great, fun anti establishment band. Try 'Nude School, You're going home in the back of a divi van (cop car), Die Yuppie Die and Kill Kill Kill (from the Get Smart TV show). Love your work.
Awesome stuff! Got some catching up to do. Got my sis and her family down from QLD at the moment. Haven't seen them in over 3 years. Partying with my nieces and nephew's killing me hahaha. Cheers for this. Appreciated
@@secondhandreactions Just glad you both enjoyed it. Got a few more to recommend, one from ten years earlier (before my rockin days) but aged well. Heard of Radio Birdman? I'll buy a few bevvies and pop them in.
Just saw them perform December 2nd 2023 Archies creek, still party like they used too !!!!! bloody excellent.
That’s great - fun band. Still not sure how I missed them until now.

Great live band. First saw them mid 80s when they supported Midnight Oil. Was an instant fan and I would have seen them about 50 times.
I’m still not sure how I missed this band until now. Lol. Whatever… I’m here now
We'll have to revisit I really liked this band too
