Feel your pain, Last one I put together I ended up using a empi 30mm (all I could find at the time), and with 10w-30 the pressure's bit high sometimes. Will for sure!

The 20w-50 oil may be the cause of the running hot. That's awful thick. What were you running before?
straight 30 and before that 15-40 Rottella T
26mm pump? The 20w-50 prolly pulled the oil pressure up enough that the pressure relief bypass kept the oil from circulating through the cooler.
