Check out some of those Paramore videos, or some Maximum the Hormone, The Pillows, Asian Kung Fu Generation, or other bands that did Anime intros 🤣Those crowds are hype! I think South America/Argentina has THE CRAZIEST crowds tho. Literally EVERYONE screaming every single lyric at the band and causing huge waves in the crowds. So fucking incredible to see, and I couldn't imagine the incredible energy in person ❤
Every time I heard this live was a memorable experience, but I think my favorite time was in 2005 when I saw them in support of Make Believe, at the Aragon in Chicago. We weren't really close to the stage, but close enough, and there were four of us- my friend I had gone with, and two girls that he knew and introduced me to who we hung with after bumping into them. After standing for what felt like forever.... I also recall the line wrapping around the Aragon being massive, despite getting there pretty early... After awhile in between whoever opened and Weezer, they come on, and lights dim. A few seconds later that first note of TOS hits and rings out for a little bit there before Pat's drums come in, and at that point, the song bursts into action and the crowd just kind of rushes the stage, which I didn't think was even possible given how full it was (in front of us, beside us, and behind us... if you've been to the Aragon you'd know how packed it can get at times). We probably wound up a good 15ft closer to the stage after this sudden rush from the crowd behind us and then in front of us as a result. I have never experienced that at a concert before... the rush the fans got, all at once, to cause so much movement right as they're opening their set with this... It was a feeling.
