My mother was pregnant with me when Nicky got saved. My father is also Puertorican. So, his story is very special to me. God had His hand on Nicky from the beginning. I love when Pastor David told Nicky “Jesus loves you” and Nicky with such enormous hatred (due to fear and his hardness of heart) threatened to cut him to pieces. . And Pastor David said, “If you cut me up, Every piece will cry out “Jesus loves you”. God got Nicky in that instance. He was a gonner LOL from that moment. You can’t kill love! AMEN My next favorite event was when Pastor Dave gave the gang members, one of which was Nicky, the job of collecting the offering. God reeled Nicky in on that back stage ❤️🤗

I have never read the last two. I know they will be powerful and inspiring. But …….Nicky sure does not look 80 yrs old!!!

This is a marvelous personal story that led to the conversion of Nicky Cruz. I read the book written by David Wilkerson when I was first saved and recall saying to myself that I wanted to be used like that, to have such boldness as he. My heart has always leaned more toward the ministry of reconciliation than teaching or other offices, and the Lord has used me to lead others to Him. I wish this particular service had been given, not in a church assembly, but outdoors, where the unsaved could hear it, but this is the way so much of today's evangelism is taking place, within the confines of a church, unlike the courageous approach David Wilkerson was so willing to take, to the point of not worrying about his own death. Street preaching is much needed today. We can't hide in buildings any longer, We must get outside, to walk the streets, to approach strangers, to be bold enough to proclaim the Good News to anyone.

I too read Nicky's story in Run Baby Run at about 14. No one could be more opposite Nicky than I was. I was brought up in a fine Christian home where the Bible and prayer were a regular part of my life. I was born again when I was 5. BUT years later I knew that my Christian walk would never make it...never hold up... in my world of 1960's teenage temptation. Just like Nicky and just as badly as Nicky I needed a REAL POWER that could make me someone that I wanted to be but could never be on my own. Reading Run Baby reassured me that the POWER that transformed Nicky was available to sustain me although our circumstances were different. THAT POWER is what life is all about.
I visited colorado Springs in 1993 AND CALLED to nick Cruz Ministries.. For me surprise he was right in MARACAZINHO GYNASIUM (in my country - BRAZIL)... GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY AND HIS MINISTRY

I couldn´t stop crying,laughing and then praying and worshiping God.I grew up similar with my Dad who was a badly alcoholik and very physical abusive. And it is really like he said, when you are young and you face that kind of things, you tell yourself and confess that you show no love and there is no love because you never felt it. Amazing book! Was the first one i read by nicky cruz aswell. I loved it so much i read the second book (Devil On The Run) in one night. The 3rd book (Soul Obession) i came across that book many years later. I really wanna get the other book he wrote called Holy Fire. Nicky Cruz and David Wilkerson have done so much for God, they are two of my biggest inspirations, along with Oral Roberts and Prophet Deckard.

The service was powerful. We in the western world really don't know how to worship God like the Chinese people. It is too bad that just a few people were in engaged in real worship. What thoes people nearly need is a holy ghost revival and it could have happened right there while NICKY was preaching and in the worship. We have it so good in Canada and the States. The day before I got married, my now husband and I were privliged to see and hear David Wilkerson. He spoke on daughters hating their mothers. I had reason to hate mine. I was able to forgive her that day. I will always be thankful that we went to hear him. May he rest in peace.

I loved the book. I read it as a teenager and kept it until my husband accidentally got it into a box of his books that he gave away. I hope it is still blessing someone else.

My heart has always leaned more toward the ministry of reconciliation than teaching or other offices, and the Lord has used me to lead others to Him.
I wish this particular service had been given, not in a church assembly, but outdoors, where the unsaved could hear it, but this is the way so much of today's evangelism is taking place, within the confines of a church, unlike the courageous approach David Wilkerson was so willing to take, to the point of not worrying about his own death. Street preaching is much needed today. We can't hide in buildings any longer, We must get outside, to walk the streets, to approach strangers, to be bold enough to proclaim the Good News to anyone.

I Read his book "Run Baby Run" when I was 14 ,I hadn't even heard of Nicky ,the book was one of the best i ever read, i couldn't put it down. I have such respect for Nicky ,he was very violent but was saved by Jesus. God Bless you Nicky Cruz
I too read Nicky's story in Run Baby Run at about 14. No one could be more opposite Nicky than I was. I was brought up in a fine Christian home where the Bible and prayer were a regular part of my life. I was born again when I was 5. BUT years later I knew that my Christian walk would never make it...never hold up... in my world of 1960's teenage temptation. Just like Nicky and just as badly as Nicky I needed a REAL POWER that could make me someone that I wanted to be but could never be on my own. Reading Run Baby reassured me that the POWER that transformed Nicky was available to sustain me although our circumstances were different. THAT POWER is what life is all about.

The first time i am watching something from Nicky Cruz, because John Ramirez spoke about him, that he is special, and he really is. I couldn´t stop crying,laughing and then praying and worshiping God.I grew up similar with my Dad who was a badly alcoholik and very physical abusive. And it is really like he said, when you are young and you face that kind of things, you tell yourself and confess that you show no love and there is no love because you never felt it. Got saved because a Baptist Church girl gave away a copy of his book, Run Baby Run in advance of him visiting in Fort Lauderdale. I was 16. Met him at the church outreach 1972, i couldnt stop crying.
Amazing book! Was the first one i read by nicky cruz aswell. I loved it so much i read the second book (Devil On The Run) in one night. The 3rd book (Soul Obession) i came across that book many years later. I really wanna get the other book he wrote called Holy Fire. Nicky Cruz and David Wilkerson have done so much for God, they are two of my biggest inspirations, along with Oral Roberts and Prophet Deckard.

Behind every idol is a demon.We can become used to using words of the culture and lose the meaning words like blessed, children not kids, knock on wood etc. I hear some say God has a dream for you. Proplem, God doesn't dream and saying He does brings God down into human acts.

The service was powerful. We in the western world really don't know how to worship God like the Chinese people. It is too bad that just a few people were in engaged in real worship. What thoes people nearly need is a holy ghost revival and it could have happened right there while NICKY was preaching and in the worship. We have it so good in Canada and the States. Read the Cross and the switchblade and followed that with 12 Angels From Hell, best 2 books I have ever read. I read those in 1967. The day before I got married, my now husband and I were privliged to see and hear David Wilkerson. He spoke on daughters hating their mothers. I had reason to hate mine. I was able to forgive her that day. I will always be thankful that we went to hear him. May he rest in peace.
