As you know you can’t go without a chronometer with these precision PCP air guns to address the fluctuation in speed and accuracy for long distance shooting . It’s a great diagnostic tool for adjusting regulator pressures to fine tune pellets and slugs and to signal a to wide variation and speed fluctuations with your regulators . For those who don’t have one you will be questioning a lot of variables I.e….. scope, mounts , pellets , barrel and yourself ! Lol

The prophet 2 is a excellent rifle, I have one.
It has gave me a few frustrating moments but that's the norm for a new model. Life and hobbies.

Had the prophet performance mk1 with all the extras absolutely loved it had it running at 945 with 26 grain redesigned pellets and it was awesome for accuracy and great results over the chrono but kept the same dye pack of pellets threw it for best results,changed the hammer spring and sleeve for a pin and it never let me down
Nice gun the prophet 2,shoots pretty good for out of the box,it seems it won’t need a whole lot of tweaking to be right on and consistent 👌👍

had mine since they were available the assisted valve failed after 3 months but rti sent new upgraded one out apart from that mine loves the 28g H&N 249 slugs

I have the same one and shooting the same pellets making one hole at 55yards reg set at 140bar added 2 plenum so now it’s 114cc and shooting the jsb 33.9 at 980

Hi David , really 980 fps with 33.95 kings heavy at the pressure of 140 bar only ? Great power , did you remember what was the velocity at the same pressure and same pellets with the stock 70cc plenum size ?
It's simple not heavy. I do have all these accessories coming that make it heavier. Lol! 🤣Love it!

I don't know if rti has already upgrade the hammer but on my prophet, i polish the hammer.... The trigger was released after a few thousand rounds. Just tighten a screw. And by the way, if you lower the regulator, it's better to do it without air... Don't go along with their talk about being able to lower it without degassing the bottle. Because the regulator will stop working as well. I have used huggett silencers in .22 and .25 with great result even at distances over 100 meters.. And the regulator lives happily at 140/150Bar. These groups look like mine at 100 meters with the redesigned jsb. and please clean the barrel.... With the crap that comes in there mixed with lead it still sticks to the wall....
No hammers were polished, and you must be new to my channel, welcome! I always clean my barrel after initially shooting the guns. Hope you enjoy all the stuff we do around here.
@@abitoutside When you see the hammer (if it looks like the previous versions) you will understand why it needs to be polished. The part that hits the valve doesn't need it but the side looks like shark skin... And I've been following the channel forever and I comment and support 100% and I'm 100% what is said in the video is 100% real and not paid bullshit like other channels. You are the only channel I know that really tests things and helps us not to waste money with the new most reluctant thing that everyone says you have to buy because if not... All your videos take the finger up .

Putting in tungsten hammer today
I've two of the RTI latest adjustable regs, nothing to fault so far. Prophet 1 and 2.
The early regs had some issues but once bedded in I find the latest RTI regs excellent.
I've a Lane regulator as a backup, never needed so far.

I think you're getting that spread like that from the cold. It seems like it's taking your reg longer to replenish. Hopefully you get it figured out.
First 20 shots were 3.3 , didn't change till I adjusted reg.. shrug

Probably not as this will be my benchrest gun, but who knows. My buddy Jay shoots slugs in his and they are amazing
Could you explain the hammer adjustment with the new air assisted valve? I have the first prophet with over 3000 rounds with no problem.

I know it may be a bit early just now, but I would like to hear your thoughts comparing this to the FX Maverick. I am torn between these two guns and I would be very keen to hear your unbiased opinion comparing the two.

@@abitoutside Yeah that is obvious. I am just curious of the comparison of strengths and weaknesses. Since I am interested in both but can only get one, I am looking for things that can demonstrate which may be better for me.
If you want to tune your airfun and work on it, often get the Maverick. If you just wanna shoot and enjoy shooting, get the RTI. At this point I love the RTI Prophet 2 for sure more than I liked my Maverick

Great question. Not 100% sure but I'd guess the FX due to all the upgrades you can do. Both stock I'd say they would be even.

i bet you slow your shooting down a bit plus 860-900 fps youll find a better sweet spot
Too slow, sweet spot found at 930 she is fire!
And please don't fiddle with or try to fine-tune the trigger weight. It's only going to get worse and it's a nightmare to leave it the same as it was from the factory again.

@@abitoutside Put a drop of blue glue if not with time it may be possible to move the screw. It's one of the problems with my prophet is having to retighten over time.
