The role being described here I would call a security manager, rather than an engineer. I would say an engineer is more hands on, building and implementing things.

I started out my IT career in the 80's, it takes a lot of experience and education to be considered an engineer, an engineer, as you said build and implement, no a days a person dishing out tickets has the title of an engineer :D , we are at the age where nothing is earned, it is either bought or stolen..................

    Mike Myers,
Awesome video and I totally agree with you on a Bachelors Degree.I learned so much from my education and what gaps needed to be filled in that my work experience did not provide for me, or even as a refresher, my degree filled those gaps and viceversa. Whatever my education did not provide, my experience filled in the gaps.
I have a dual bachelors degree in Cyber Security/Information Assurance and Information Systems Management. Remind you, NOT Computer Science degree whereas a CS degree will not help anyone in Cybersecurity except maybe for "secure coding" which anyways one's Cybersecurity degree will provide you a path into very basic coding, in which one does not need more then that for a cyber security career.
Again thank you Mike for some great information! By the way, the U.S Government will pay for one' education through FASFA with grants which does NOT EVER have to be paid back! Only U.S. citizens can apply, but no felonies though in one's personal background.
