    Anna Coleman Ladd was an American pioneering sculptor, educated in France, who devoted her time and skills throughout World War I to creating custom-made masks for disfigured soldiers to wear over their wounds. In this photograph, dated July 1918, she is seen in her studio, painting a mask worn by a French soldier who was disfigured in World War I.

    Ivette Vickers was so beautiful and sensuous... but Edwige Fenech was unforgettable in my teen years. Tina Lewis was so good in Gillian's Island. Horrible scenes of the wound in WWI
