If I had to go back and buy it again, I'd choose this one: amzn.to/3igfoon

Want to hop right to the mechanics? Jump to 01:44 and that's where I start taking the bottle apart! You can see the bubbles moving up the "straw" at 3:05 for a visual. :)
Omg I literally felt like I was the only one dealing with them leaking! So glad I'm not alone! Thanks for the somewhat fix 😊
Yes the leaking tho 😩
Thank you just recently got these for my baby girl !
Than you I'm a reborn collecter and I wanted to buy these but I figured I'd know how these work
I saw a video where a lady said to prevent the leaking, she turns the top cloister clock wise until it looks straight and then turns it clock wise to close correctly and her bottles no longer leak.
One reason it might leak is if the drink is cold and warms to room temp on a warm day, the venting could push liquid up through the straw and out through the cap. I will watch for mismatched caps and vent parts also
I’m glad I’m not the only person who this bottle leaks on
Thank you so much very helpful
I'm sipping on one of these bottles right now
Thank you from a new dad!!
+Brock Reed I'm glad it helped, and a big congratulations!!
Leaking is worse when I shake the bottle.
So I use a different lid/or shake without the green bit and then put it back in.
Nice video!
Thank you!
Have you experienced any leak with that cap? Thanks!
So I noticed when tightened the bottle it stop leaking maybe it’s the matter of tightening it.
For how long you have to use the venting system? On the baby pls can someone explain? Thnx
Thank you because I was starting to feel like that was a bad investment
I assembled the bottle and gave to baby I m not getting any bubbles in the straw y? Am I doing anything wrong
My large bottles used to leak as well. I found out that it was bc I was putting the collar of the smaller bottles on the big ones. I guess the threads are different. Bc when I put the original collars that were on the large ones they no longer leaked.
I had NO IDEA that this could be a problem but I'm guessing if I had tried this it would have worked like a charm. Thank you! Hopefully someone else will see this comment and it will fix their leaking problem. :)
I am using wide neck bottle and it leak a lot , I really don't what's going wrong
They are all
Identical
Thank you! If you add formula and shake, you get bubbles, will these bottles vent those also? Or is there a better way to mix the formula?
I don't believe they'll dissipate - I was always told by my pediatrician to swirl instead of shake if we were making it on-the-go. Good luck!
I also put a baby wipe or tissue around the neck of the bottle and that works for us xx
So they su in other for it no to leak it the little bar has to stay up with the steam
I just used one for the first time today and it didn't leak. Maybe it's just because it's new? There were no bubbles and my baby seemed happy with the flow.
How was it after 4 years lol
Hi. Can I buy the new Insert triangular one separate? Heard those don’t leak
Hi Natalia - I would love to have an answer for you but I have never actually seen the triangular ones. :( If you do try them out will you let me know if they work?
Idk why but my baby gets very gasy with this bottles, it makes lots of bubbles!
All of mine leaked on first use. I tossed them all into the trash and got the philips avent instead. No problems now.
Years later and they still leak… not sure why they haven’t fixed this.
Yes mine leak as well
Can someone please tell me the height of Dr. Brown's bottle
a.) from the bottom of the bottle, to the tipp of the nipple
b.) form the bottom of the bottle (containter), to the top of the bootle (no nipple, so that I can see if the bottle fits my steriliser)
Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤
When I tilt the bottle, the milk started leaking everywhere! Still can’t figure out how to use this thing properly :(
Me too! Apparently the flow could be to fast or too slow for your baby and thats why if happens. But how do I know if the flow is too fast or too slow. My baby shows symptoms for both🤷🏾♀️
Does it take longer to feed your baby with these? We've been using the Similac disposable nipples for our preemie. I tried using Dr. Brown once and it seemed like he was sucking and sucking and nothing was coming through the nipple.
It depends on which nipple you choose. These bottles have “levels” of nipples you can buy - 1 is slow flow, 2 is a little faster, and 3 is fastest. As baby grows and can handle more flow, you can upgrade the nipples to faster ones. :)
@@kidstuffhq8304 Thank you. We have a preemie and I just found out that one of the two Preemie nipples we were using is defective. Like, no milk comes through it at all. Is it normal for Dr. Browns nipples to be defective? My poor little guy couldn't drink after sucking for like 10 minutes and I was wondering what was wrong. I used the other Preemie nipple at it was so much better.
@@Kansas462 I have never had one that was defective, so sorry to hear that happened! Poor guy. :( If it were me, I would reach out to Dr. Brown's (www.drbrownsbaby.com/contact-us/) and ask about a refund or replacement. When I have had product issues in the past and contacted the company they usually made it right.
I’m search for answers on why my Dr Browns leak. This has been helpful. I find that if I tighten the ring with nipple too tight, it reduces the milk flow.
The leak comes after sterilizing you’re vent to often So it kinda shrinks or doesn’t comes back to its original form
That makes perfect sense - I had no idea! Thank you for the heads up on this. :)
You’re welcome. I was here searching for vids of the pros of a Y teethy... I’m from holland and don’t know if you even have the Y teethy... were using a thicker formula for our 12 week old baby because she has bad bowl movement (if i say this correctly?) anyhow the Y teethy is for thicker formula but I wanted to see how many drops come out then... I don’t want it to go to fast ofcourse....
What about that circle piece inside that says “remove before feeding”? Is that garbage ?
Hey Susan, I’m not 100% sure but from what I can tell it looks like the circle piece that says remove before feeding is also a travel disc, it’s to keep the bottle from leaking when you are traveling.
The venting system is great. However, Dr.Brown's nipples 0+month are way too fast for a newborn baby. I cant use them because of this issue. Way too fast for a 2 week old baby. I have used other 0+ month nipples and are at much more slower flow. Useless until baby is few months old to control that rapid flow
It’s not that they leak a little. They leak a lot!😢
How much
I wasted half a bottle of milk once because it leaked into the cap and when I popped it off all the milk exploded all over me I was so mad. That’s my only issue with these bottles is the leaking
Oh no! I had that happen too, but I also had the same thing happen with another brand of bottle. Wasted milk is just the worst. :(
Hi, I also have same problem about leaking into the cap. Is your bottle is solved?
Same
Is this bottle help for cleft palate babys
Hi! Great question. Do a Google search for “Dr. Brown’s Specialty Feeding System” - from their website it says “Dr. Brown’s® Specialty Feeding System was designed in collaboration with medical professionals seeking an oral feeding solution for infants identified with complex feeding challenges such as those often observed in infants with cleft lip and palate, ankyloglossia, etc.” I think this specific setup will be helpful!
I have the one with the blue straw inside. Today my baby tried to suck the milk but it wasn’t coming out at all. What am I doing wrong?
This was happening to me because I was tightening the white cap with nipple too much because I thought that would help with no leaking. Bottle still leaks but flow improved if I didn’t over tighten.
I found out why my dr. Brown bottles were leaking. It is because the cap or lid where the tit goes needs to go with the same bottle it came with. All pieces must match the bottle it came with u can't mix and match with these bottles when u clean them. Don't know why. Once i found out which bottle belong with which piece i washed them and sterilized them not seperated but together so i know how to assemble which bottle with which piece. Problem solved for me. You can also color code the bottle with nail polish at the bottle of the bottle and cap.
BabyBoy Bliss wouldn’t it be easier to just get same kind
@@glammedbynatalia yeah i use the same kind of Dr. Brown i just mean wash each bottle separately. Don't mix the parts. I haven't had a leaky bottle since i tried this trick well was my husband's idea i didn't want to believe it but it's true. Wash each bottle individually asnit came in the box.i had to buy another box.
😱😱😱😱😱
My baby chokes on these
Mine too plus the leaking is crazy. Had to throw them away!
Got the sanitizer in thrift today so I am here looking for bottles, considering if I will try these and see..maybe I won't have the leak..maybe I will. Any other bottle alts?
Do the bottles leak when the green vent is out?
Momma Haillie - We don't use them often without the green vent (the nipple tends to collapse a bit) but when we have, I feel like they have been less prone to leaks. I think without the vent, you can get a tighter seal between the bottle and the nipple. As far as preventing leaks in general, it also helps if you screw the nipple on REALLY tight.
I love this bottle and it works for my baby too . The only thing I don’t like . It’s unsanitary and too much time too clean .
It did take a lot of time to clean, I agree. We washed them in hot soapy water every night and then sanitized them in a bottle sanitizer... it was quite the long process.
Im in charge of cleaning bottles at home but I don’t find it that time consuming - give all the parts a quick rinse with warm water, then submerge them in a hot soapy water, they’ll be pretty easy to clean with a bottle brush, then put everything to sterilize and boom, you’re good to go. I actually enjoy cleaning them for some reason.
i have a brand new one i just opened and pre filled with water and it got knocked over and water spilled out from the nipple. i prefer avent bottles
I never tried Avent! But I have always heard good things about them from friends.
I also just bought today and it leaked. Wish I saw this earlier 😑
These bottles doesn’t work for my baby. My baby is still very gassy! 😢
do I have to perforate the nipple? I don't see a hole.. first time mom here. The nipple has a number 1 on it.
Hi Keek! You do not have to perforate it, the nipple should have little slits on it where the milk comes out when your little one sucks. As baby gets older, you’ll graduate to #2 and #3 nipples, which flow faster. And finally: a big congratulations on becoming a mom! There is nothing quite like it. :)
Hmmm…. Been using at least 4 in rotation for a month now and no leaks
My bottles have never leaked. I think it’s the sterilizing machine.
I’m not liking these bottle after 7 days of use. Even with the blue thing in it’ll leak on me at times. Other than that it’s ok
The dealer should come operate with customer
Too much leaking
On top the bottle is very expensive
The options bottle is trash, we had natural flow last time and bought options this time, it’s awful, the anti siphon thing doesn’t work properly if you over tighten, leaks if you don’t over tighten, never had these issues with the blue natural flow bottles.
Oh that’s really good to know - we never used the blue bottles but I’m glad to hear that they leak less than the green options ones. Once we started using them without the green insert they leaked so much less.
I thought that only ami liquidate my milk 😼😂😂😂😂
I tried dr browns bottles when I had my Newborn last night tried it out this morning leaked so much I am really disappointed in the dr browns bottles😡
Yes me too
They have a whole section on their website about leaking. I've not had this issue with any other bottle. I tried not tight lid too much, faster flow teat, not heating or shaking mixture on the bottle. Nothing worked besides taking the green vent part out. I need the slower flow teat with a good vent. It's only leaked maybe 3 drops now if any. Very bad design for the wide. The narrow didn't have leak issue at all really reduced gas in baby but it's not a good shape if moving between breast and bottle.
They are the worst!
they leak like crazy I don't like it
I hate these they leak all over
By the end of bottle feeding ours leaked as well, but I think it was because I sterilized mine daily. I have heard and read that the heat from sterilization causes the plastic to warp. They seemed to not leak at the beginning, but after a few months I definitely noticed it too.
These bottles made my baby gassy very bad.
No they didn’t
Leak leak leak leak leak leak and then they leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Expensive for nothing bottles. Get cheap bottles at dollar general if you don’t want your baby to be all wet of milk. Had to throw away 12bottles for cause they’re annoying with leaking🤮🤮
what a waste of the first 1.5 mins.
You talk way too much!!!
Ha - my husband agrees! ;)
It’s a UA-cam video dipshit, what do you want her to do stare at the camera while holding the bottles silently?
